Apocalypse Girl Tattoos — Attraction in Cary

Wow. Where do I start? This shop is unlike any others I had ever been in. The atmosphere was so welcoming and kind from the moment I first walked in for a tattoo appointment with Ian. That would be the first of many, many visits! Everyone in the shop has an insane amount of talent, I’ve been wowed by every piece I’ve seen artists do on other clients while I’m getting a piece myself. The shop is very clean and well maintained. The atmosphere of the shop is set up to help everyone grow and it makes me happy to see that. And Ian… wow. I respect him and his art. It’s so detailed and full of emotion. He’s very deliberate with his technique which is impressive. He is really good both at tattooing and at allowing others to have a space where they feel comfortable. That is something I’ve struggled with in some shops. Not this one! I feel at home when I’m here❤️ I’m very lucky to have found Ian and I can’t wait to see what the next tattoo adventure brings. The mirror piece will always be my favorite though. You killed it with that one! 2nd session can’t come quickly enough lol I’ve had the honor of also getting tattooed by Zak and I’m so thrilled about it! His style is beautiful and bold, full of life. I got a color piece and I’m so delighted by how quickly it healed and the vibrancy of the color that remained after it peeled. I felt comfortable during the session and he always made sure I was okay, which meant a lot:) thank you, I can’t wait to finish that piece up! Want a piercing? Go see the lovely wonderful and most amazing Olivia for one! She is really good at what she does. Each aspect of it. I’ve had a nostril and a conch piercing done by her so far and each time it has been a very smooth process. She has a precise gentle touch with the needle. The piercing itself is quick and honestly both of them have healed wonderfully so far! Thank you Olivia for all you do to make the piercing experience not so nerve wracking. Your personality shines through in the best way to make others feel relaxed💕 Although I only have had piercings and tattoos by those mentioned so far, I can confidently say that everyone so much talent in the shop. I came to Apocalypse Girl Tattoos to get my first nose piercing and my 2nd & 3rd tattoo for my 18th birthday. Jzus did both of my tattoos INCREDIBLY AMAZING!!! He gave me a fair price and was great to me during the whole process asking me if I was okay, needed a break or water/snacks. He was super concentrated and focused the whole time, kept me updated on where we were in the process, and even gave me a phone holder so my other arm wouldn’t get tired of holding my phone while I was watching a show during the process. And let me say this again: JZUS DID INCREDIBLE!!! All the staff, especially Jzus, are incredibly nice and funny! The tattoo chair was comfy and I would totally recommend bringing a blanket if you’re gonna be there a while lol. If you’re looking for a great tattoo shop with nice people and great vibes, this place is DEFINITELY it. The people are great, the atmosphere is great, so definitely a must-go tattoo shop!!

Paula did an INCREDIBLE and IMPECCABLE job!! she was so very detail oriented and made sure my tattoo was aligned with my knee exactly the way i want. i really liked how she was making sure i was comfortable, if i needed a break, or if i needed any drinks/snacks. she was absolutely so funny to talk to as well. she recently did a tattoo on my mom a while back and she speaks SO highly about Paula. i loved the work that everyone does here. they are truly talented and pay so much attention to all the nitty...

I went to Apocalypse Girl a few weeks ago to get my ear repierced, as the piercing had closed after I forgot to put an earring back in. While I was there, I also wanted to get my lip repierced, because I’m missing a lip ring on one side.

I want to preface by saying that I was a walk-in appointment, and the staff at the desk were extremely friendly (and even complimented me on my Yu Yu Hakusho hoodie!) The store was clean, the vibes were good, and it was my first time there.

However, when I went to the back, the piercer didn’t really seem confident in what she was doing at ALL. She took about five minutes to find the right tool, and almost forgot to put on gloves, which was worrying. She used a taper to tap my earlobe twice and said that she could not pierce my ear because the piercing was “still half-open”. She was super sweet, but she seemed so nervous that I got nervous, and decided to leave without getting my lip repierced. They charged me $20 for that😭

After getting a lot of baffled reactions when I told my friends that the piercer said I would have to wait months for my ear piercing to close to get it pierced, I decided to go to a different piercing place. The piercer easily repierced the “half open, half closed” piercing smoothly and with very minimal pain. I’m super confused as to why I was told I would have to wait months? Very confusing.
