Bliss Nail Spa Cary — Attraction in Cary

I have been coming to Bliss Nail Spa for over a year and I just realized that I have never written a review. Let me just start out by saying that it doesn't get any better than Bliss! I moved to the area from Seattle where great nail spas are plentiful. I spent a year trying different places in Apex and Cary hoping to find an exceptional experience with no luck. I never went back to anyone twice because I couldn't find the perfect combo of a clean, tranquil, lux environment and an accomplished technician. It did not exist, until Bliss Nail Spa! I spoke to a friend who had beautiful nails and she referred me to Bella and her staff. All I can say is, WOW!!! The nail spa nirvana I had been searching for in NC was finally mine! Bella and her staff are extremely talented, friendly and fairly priced. You will feel it the moment you arrive. The staff is so helpful and nice, the spa has something like 16-20 new and gorgeous pedi stations, the spa is huge, decorated beautifully and the services are impeccable. Thank you Bella and the team for taking such good care of us! You can book with any of the nail techs and know in advance that you will love your relaxing, rejuvenating nail appointment. Sit back with a beverage and leave with gorgeous nails. Highly recommend this salon! Got SNS (dip powder) nails and a pedicure. They were super busy and asked me if I would mind waiting I said “not a problem “ I knew they looked busy so I had no problem waiting. They actually called another nail tech named Bill from another salon owned by the same management located in Raleigh (TM Nail Spa) which was super kind of them! I was very surprised when Bill arrived and approached me saying he had came from the other salon just to do my nails and toes! I’ve been to many nail salons that I have even made an appointment for and arrived on time and still waited 30 mins, so I was very impressed with their customer service! They were still very apologetic about the wait even though it was a very short wait and the duration of my wait I was picking out my colors. Everyone at the salon was very friendly and social. Bill made sure my nails were the length and shape I wanted and did a fantastic job on both my nails and toes! This was my first time going to this salon, but I’m sure all techs at the salon are wonderful.The salon is brand new so the pedicure chairs are newer and in much better condition than most salons I have gone to which makes the pedicure more enjoyable in my opinion :) the salon itself was a great atmosphere. So I just stopped by this place yesterday (Saturday) and while this place is “new” and had new amenities....I still left this place highly unimpressed. For me, it’s truly unacceptable for these nail techs to NOT know and understand how to accomplish simple nail designs or how to describe services they offer. I asked one of the nail techs to describe the difference between the liquid gel and regular gel and the only answer he could offer was that it “looked more natural.” ...okay...but what else? Fast forward to my nail design, I asked a different nail tech for a “marble” design AND showed him a photo of how I wanted it to look and he literally had no clue what to do. It was like he was experimenting on my nails and kept messing up and restarting until another nail tech came over and still didn’t know what to do either. At this point I had been there for nearly 3 hours and really had to go. I ended up with chicken scratch on my nail instead of the ‘marble’ design I wanted. And these people had the nerve to charge $100+ for mediocre work. And didn’t offer to take anything off for me wasting my time and receiving that horrible design. Pathetic! I feel like these types of nail salons truly need to invest in TALENTED NAIL ARTISTS and not just regular nail techs that have no clue about the latest hot nail designs....
