I am so grateful that I worked with Theresa! I was undergoing a lot of change (retired, turned gray haired, lost weight, survived the pandemic by staying at home, etc.) and felt I had plenty of clothes, but nothing to wear. Theresa helped me with a closet audit. I had never worked with a clothing stylist before, and I was a little nervous about working with a stranger, so I interviewed a number of other stylists. Theresa’s responses reflected a positive philosophy that resonated with me. Before her visit, at my request, she directed me to an excellent bra fitter. During Theresa’s four hour visit, I felt as if I was working with a fashion savvy girlfriend. She was personable and highly skilled at using the clothes that I had to make outfits I would actually wear. She didn’t just prescribe outfits; she sought my feedback by saying, “Would you wear this?” She used my response to hone in on what I liked. She did not waste time and we accomplished a lot. She kindly advised me about clothing that needed to be donated/consigned, which she was willing to handle. Some things she suggested to be altered. When she created an outfit, she took a picture of it to create a look book for my future reference because there is no way I could remember all that she created. She suggested several clothes, shoes, and belts to fill in gaps in my wardrobe. After our appointment, she kept her word of sending me links to items that she recommended for me, publishing a look book of the outfit photos, and giving me feedback on the recommended clothes that I purchased as well as some outfits that I created. For example, she told me the best cut of jeans for my body. I sent her pics of me in different jeans and she identified which ones flattered me. But the best gift of all was watching her magically put outfits together that sparked a better fashion sense and interest in me. To continue my clothing journey, she suggested some fashion bloggers that aligned with my style. Hiring Theresa was the best investment I have made in myself, and I would do it again. This is a LONG overdue review following my experience working with Lauren back in Spring 2023. From the start, she really customized the process for me. While I didn’t need the full soup-to-nuts approach including the closet audit wasn’t quite for me, but we knew I’d need a tad more than just the closet refresh, so she designed a custom package to work with. Our first in-person was a breath of fresh air – while Lauren is both stunning and stylish, I felt no judgment about my self-described frumpiness that I had adopted over the course of the pandemic. She listened to me while gently pushing my boundaries a bit, and I was floored that the first round of Look Book ideas was pretty spot-on.

From there, the look book refinement process went really quick; and then it was amazing to see all of the pieces in person. I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous that there’d be more strikes than home-runs, by virtue of the fact that that’s all I’ve been able to achieve on my own with years of online shopping. But, of the ~20ish pieces Lauren brought with her, she was spot-on with her estimate that somewhere between 80-90% would work for me! Her first time shopping for me, and she nailed it. She captured the barely-there “style” I’ve defined for myself, while easing me out of my comfort zone with some pieces I would have never picked for myself but truly loved.
