I don't wanna give this place a bad rating, but its important to share constructive feedback with the owners to take care of the problems. First of all, the place is designed with a great taste and lovely atmosphere.
But still after a few days since the visit, I am still suffering with severe headache after the strawberry Margarita (last time I had such reaction was 30 years ago from boxed wine).
The $19 portion was SO SMALL esp comparing to other Mexican restaurants in the more upscale areas of Triangle. I had like a dozen of shrimps in a sauce, 4oz of salsa/lettuce with a half-table spoon of guacamole, and like 4oz of black beans. It was tasty, but even for me who eats very little, this portion was not enough.
We had a large reservation (17 people). The tortilla chips were served with lovely sauce, and it took a LONG time before waiters came out to take our main order (like 15-20 min). The number of drinks came out more then we asked for and so instead of 4 plates of churros we had like 10-12.
My biggest issue with the place that our guests could not get dishes they ordered for a while, as waiters were super confused who gets what and it took them a long time to figure it out. There seems to be a huge issue with organization and communication. Otherwise, they worked fast, were friendly and efficient.
As a suggestion, I think it will be helpful for large reservations like this to have a dedicated supervisor making sure the orders are collected and delivered properly, as we ended up with a LOT of unneeded items. Thank you for your time to read this lengthy review....

My experience at this restaurant was unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons. My friends and I endured unacceptable racism during our visit. Despite numerous mistakes by our server, Allen, we remained patient and respectful. However, when it came to our tickets, he repeatedly mixed up our orders, leading to confusion and frustration. Even after multiple attempts to correct the errors, we were still overcharged. The manager, Diego, displayed appalling customer service and refused to rectify the situation. Despite our calm demeanor, we were met with rudeness and indifference. It's clear that proper customer service protocol was not followed. Even when we requested a refund and suggested that the meal should be comped due to the poor service and mistakes, our requests were ignored. Instead, we were offered a mere $20 gift card as compensation. This treatment was inexcusable, and it's evident that our experience was mishandled solely because of our race. The blatant disrespect continued when our waiter crossed boundaries by touching our food without permission, a behavior that is unacceptable in any establishment. Overall, the service was abysmal, and the lack of respect for customers was appalling. I strongly advise against patronizing this establishment, as the behavior of the staff reflects a severe lack of professionalism and decency. I dont like sending things back, so i tried to let it sit to water down a little and it still tasted the same. I told the bartender and he tried to tell me that was just because of the flavor that i got (not the case) i came here last week and had a different bartender that made me the same drink and it was amazing which is why i came back for it. he just doesnt make good drinks and i couldnt taste any alcohol at all, i basically had a slushy...when i asked him if he could take it off my tab he told me no (???) i asked him to at least remake it for me if i have to pay for it, he refused.
