Asian Grocery - Mt Lebanon Shoppe — Attraction in Castle Shannon

Place has been open maybe a month and it’s already becoming a poorly run business. Hours are 9-9, but they aren’t open when I arrive at 9:15. When I come back at 10, the person tells me “they just couldn’t make it in by then.” Well, if they arrived earlier and looked at their stock before they open, they’d see over half of the veg is rotting and the coolers/freezers are a mess. Person running the shop had to boot up the till for me to check out.

I don’t mind if you’re not open until 10 or 11 or closed on Sunday or WHATEVER, but if you say you’re open, be open and ready for customers.

Guess I’m just going to have to deal with the slightly longer drive to McKnight to go to the far (and I mean FAR) superior grocery up there until a somewhat decent shop makes it’s way to the south hills.

I've been looking for a place that sells Chinese and Thai ingredients in this area for some time. This store came up in a Google search so I made the trip.

Half the store has Indian ingredients, but the other half had what I wanted! I loaded up on stuff that I previously ordered on line. They had some of the better brands on the shelf too.

There are also fresh vegetables and other hard to find items there as well at decent prices.

The only negative is that the store is somewhat disorganized so you may need to ask for things if you do not see them where you think...
