Aran's Art Studio — Attraction in Castro Valley

I came here 2 weeks ago with my son and the environment did not feel very welcoming. the woman who attended us quickly ran us through how this works as it was our first time here after I asked. The check out experience was just as unpleasant. She kind of just left us waiting there until I finally asked " are we done here? this is our first time here" then she just said yes and that they would text us when our piece was ready to be picked up. I waited to write this review until I picked up our piece trying to give this place and that woman another chance, assuming she was having an off day but yesterday when I picked up my son's art piece it was the same exact dynamic. It felt like we were a bother to this woman. My son was excited to pick up his piece and she made this experience equally if not more uncomfortable. She held out the art piece but i thought she was showing it to us for a while , finally when I reached over to get it, it seemed like she didn't want to let go and was holding it in a way pulling it back. That's when she FINALLY asked if I wanted it wrapped but I was just already extremely uncomfortable and said no. My son and I left immediately after. I really don't think the woman was having an off day anymore because I noticed she was fine with the other group and then the lady that was there with her but not with us. The prices were fine but the customer service will be the reason we will never return.

Great place for walk-in pottery, DIY, Do it yourself ceramics pottery and glass work in Castro Valley. They have it all. My two boys and I walked in to make something for Mother' day. We received skillful guidance with glass work and it was fired and ready the next day. We are thinking of ceramics for Mom for the Holidays. They lead fun classes in the ACES after school program in SLUSD in San Leandro schools, always a big hit and they fill up fast. Son1 (12) and Son2 (10) both want to take summer classes here.
