Must be good since we drive almost ten (10) miles from Blackhawk Danville just for "A Loaf of Bread" & pastry! Must be good? YOU'RE RIGHT! & BEYOND And wake my friends in Wine Country Livermore to meet us down there to stand in line. Yes! Fresh and many items produced throughout the day. But waiting before 730, not 840 to C-19 and Olive Oil to use in the afternoon less than

I stand by my previous reviews but they're so good they deserve an update:

I've just learned that phone orders have restarted so there's another reason to visit.....

We've been coming here now for over a year and we've never been disappointed. Their stocks were short a couple of times but it seems they've anticipated increased demand and are respoding with more product. So the last few times we've visited they've always had what we really wanted and then some.

The Kouign-amann and chocolate-almond croissant are some of the best pastries I've ever had.

They've also added new items to their already impressive menu.

~JUNE2021 These folks know what they're doing.

I've had croissants and other pastries all over the place and the croissants at Seven Hills rank among the best.

I had never had a chocolate almond croissant before the one I bought at Seven Hills and I'm still a bit smitten by it. Their scones are just moist enough and not as dense as they look. Great with tea as any good scone should be.

The ham and cheese croissant had nice chunks of what I'm thinking was pancetta but I could be wrong.

Anyway just go; they no longer take phone orders so show up early for the...

On Sunday afternoon picking up dinner for my parents, myself and my son. I wanted to get some type of dessert not too sweet. I went in specifically looking for almond croissants. Unfortunately they were sold out. So I decided to take what they had. I purchased chocolate chip cookie, ginger cookie, muffin twist(don’t remember the actual names), sweet Brioche, plain croissant, and epi(baguette with cuts like leaves). So we cut them in fours so we all had a taste of each minus the baguette. We all were wowed by the freshness, flavor, quality. Everything works well. As for the price, well your going to pay what they ask because there is no competition. I would have preferred to pay $1–.50cents. Less. But you get what you pay for. And for once in a...

By FAR the best croissant I've had the pleasure of eating. The layers are distinct and maintain their integrity even after taking several bites. The first few flake, and snap as you bite down, giving you just a taste of the buttery flavor you always hope for but don't always get from other bakeries. The many many other layers are firm but tender, giving a satisfying chew to each bite. I got the chocolate almond croissant, which I could not recommend more. The quality chocolate used provides a smooth rich flavor addition on its own, but the almond paste gives it a further complexity and aromatic quality that takes it up another level. I'm excited to return and try some of their other baked goods. I have high expectations after the first impression!

I am a self identifying pastry fanatic. My grandmother was a baker so I take this stuff very seriously! LOL. I’m impressed that I was able to limit myself to just two items because everything looked so good! I got the chocolate almond croissant which was a perfect combination and the center had it almost a frangipane filling. Also got a perfectly crumbly delicious scone for the next day. Definitely do yourself a favor and come support this local business! 100% win-win situation!
