do not go here, i have never actually written a review for a place, especially not a bad review, but i felt this was needed.. i went to get my charging port fixed, in the meantime they shattered my screen and replaced it with one that isn't made with apple, which i didn't mind until a couple days later the screen they gave me started malfunctioning, so I went in and told them to replace it... well they replaced it and I went home later that day and started having more and more problems with my phone... my microphone is extremely muffled now and there's a loud whirring noise whenever I take videos or make calls, my camera quality has strangely worsened, I was sitting on my phone and it just completely crashed,, started flashing the apple logo at me and nothing i did would turn it back on, eventually after pressing all the buttons i could, it said i had to connect my phone to a computer and reinstall ios completely.. my phone is getting EXTREMELY hot and is overheating frequently, which I have NEVER had a problem with before.. my battery quality has deteriorated greatly, i was not on my phone and it somehow died in 4 hours, on top of this, i had my phone plugged into my fast charging type c charger and my phone battery would not dcrease in charge, but it also would not increase in charge. I have called multiple times trying to get help and they will not answer my calls anymore which i believe is partially because i do not have a phone number with the 319 area code, as i have just recently moved here, i have also left multiple voicemails and no response. I have a call on saturday and told them hey, y'all messed up my phone heavy, now fix it.. and they straight up told me "no, call back monday".. i am extremely upset with not only the customer service i received but the quality of my repair and i would STRONGLY reccommend not going here to have your phone repaired.
update: they finally answered my calls (monday at noon when ive been calling since 9am) and i was told there was nothing they could do until thursday because they're short staffed and all booked out, which yes, is understandable, IF they hadn't royalty screwed my phone, but since they did i am not happy whatsoever, which i told them and i just kept getting told the same thing... Read moreStarted out as an attempt to purchase a new battery for my boat. According to the website the Cedar Rapids store did not have any in stock. The closest to me was in Davenport. I drove the 1.5hr half to davenport to purchase the battery. While I was there they salesperson assured me I could return the core to the Cedar Rapids location to get a refund for the core charge. She also assured me that I would not need a receipt as it everything is "in the system and attached to my phone number". I purchased this battery on Friday 2/18. On Sunday 2/20 I went to get my core charge refunded, and to purchase an onboard charger for the boat. This charger was listed as in stock at the Cedar Rapids Store, when I arrived one employee who was very new was working by himself. He had no idea what an onboard charger is and we found out it was actually not in stock. It turns out they actually had two of the exact batteries I purchased in stock after all. I drove 3 hours roundtrip to purchase for no reason. When I went to get my core charged refunded the salesperson spent a long time trying to figure out how to do it, before asking for my card to apply the "refund". He actually charged my card for another core charge. I did not see that until the next day when I reviewed my bank statement. When I called the store on Monday 2/21 they told me I needed to come in to the store to be refunded. I came in today to get my refund and was told that they would not refund my core charge for the battery I purchased at their other location. Turns out that all of these stores are individual franchises, and I was lied to. I also pointed out that the battery that I needed was actually here the entire time. The store manager(maybe owner) than tried to lie to me and tell me that they just arrived on Monday... I was there in person on Sunday and touched them. Read moreMy daughter recently brought her Apple IPhone 12 to batteries + in Cedar Rapids (Blairs Ferry) to have a charge port replacement. She received the phone back and started having issues with her screen, microphone and speakers, and when she went to charge it, the phone heated up severely to where we had to tell her to unplug the phone due to it being a fire hazard. She brought the phone back in and they opened it up again to find a loose connection that was causing the issue. She took the phone back and now the battery charge only last 3-hours at best. We went back to the store to discuss an insurance claim for the faulty repair made which further damaged the phone. The store manager Steve, claims they fixed the phone and there "must" be something else wrong with the phone other than being caused by their repair. This phone is only 14-months old, and Steve is claiming it's now a motherboard issue or a software update problem. It's pretty clear to me that this location made an error in repair and caused a severe overheating issues, and do not want to take responsibility. Steve went as far as to say to us, that how did he know there wasn't any additional issues with the phone prior to them touching it... Well Steve, the answer to that question is, you had the phone open twice... You ran diagnostics on it... You didn't find anything additionally wrong with the phone.
Do the right thing, make an insurance claim because the first guy who repaired the phone who is no longer working at your location caused additional damage.
I wouldn't recommend bringing any cell phones here for repair... They refuse to take responsibility for their poor work and based on my interaction accuse their customers of trying...
