We went to the pumpkin carving festival, it was very expensive!! And many of the carved pumpkins were not ver impressive for that price , you paid to get in then the shops were so overpriced bread that I was looking forward to buying ( because I bought some at a chadds ford day’s event a couple of years back that was delicious it was an onion flavor bread) it was double the price from a previous event and it was supposed to be a garlic bread but it was filled with Italian seasoning and didn’t taste like garlic bread very disappointed with it. The music was good you could dance around. I won’t be going back to any events here it was so expensive and not worth the money. Also friends of mine we’re paying I think close to $10 for a drink beer/wine 😔 the reason of a 4 star review is because this would be extremely fun for kids because they don’t think...

The Great Pumpkin Carve us a great event, but we tried to go twice unsuccessfully. Not that it isn't a great event, it is, and they do a nice job of it. It's just that it has become unwieldy, and even unsafe. Our first night we arrived an hour before closing, and we weren't even allowed to park. So, we tried again the following night he and arrived two hours before closing. We parked and got in a line which was over 1/10 of a mile long and still growing. After 45 minutes in line, we got in, and the crowds were so dense that it was unsafe. We promptly walked back to the entrance and they refunded our admission. If they sell timed tickets in advance online it would solve this problem, I just don't know how they would go about advertising it. This is the first time in 15 years we have missed this. I hope they find a...

I've been going to this event since it started as a small 20 pumpkin display in the Brandywine River museum parking lot. The issue is, it's grown too big. The parking lot line is ridiculous, the walk to get to the place isn't easy for those who have trouble walking, the food vendor lines are long and expensive ( taco people, add more meat to your tacos please!), and the lines to see the pumpkins are slow and sometimes several people deep to see them. Maybe time for the planning committee to seek another possibility, bigger place, etc. It's not safe on that road if there was an emergency and probably a pain for those who live there. It's a fun night but getting too crowded. Kind of like Linvillea got too big...
