We went to the pumpkin carving festival, it was very expensive!! And many of the carved pumpkins were not ver impressive for that price , you paid to get in then the shops were so overpriced bread that I was looking forward to buying ( because I bought some at a chadds ford day’s event a couple of years back that was delicious it was an onion flavor bread) it was double the price from a previous event and it was supposed to be a garlic bread but it was filled with Italian seasoning and didn’t taste like garlic bread very disappointed with it. The music was good you could dance around. I won’t be going back to any events here it was so expensive and not worth the money. Also friends of mine we’re paying I think close to $10 for a drink beer/wine 😔 the reason of a 4 star review is because this would be extremely fun for kids because they don’t think...

The Great Pumpkin Carve us a great event, but we tried to go twice unsuccessfully. Not that it isn't a great event, it is, and they do a nice job of it. It's just that it has become unwieldy, and even unsafe. Our first night we arrived an hour before closing, and we weren't even allowed to park. So, we tried again the following night he and arrived two hours before closing. We parked and got in a line which was over 1/10 of a mile long and still growing. After 45 minutes in line, we got in, and the crowds were so dense that it was unsafe. We promptly walked back to the entrance and they refunded our admission. If they sell timed tickets in advance online it would solve this problem, I just don't know how they would go about advertising it. This is the first time in 15 years we have missed this. I hope they find a...

So...i have to say what once started as a small clump of pumpkins in the Brandywine River Museum parking lot has expanded into a very busy display. It was a bit chaotic and slightly obnoxious. After dusk it's pretty impossible to get near the pumpkins due to 5 people deep lines. The hayride was too short and the line too long. Please in the future...include the hayride fee in the already pricey admission fee? That hayride was hard to get out of too and you should find an alternative place to go so the rides are longer. Rent more wagons so the lines move faster. I think you need more space. The parking lot is so crowded. Will you have tram service for those in need or just because it's so far... I've been going...

Came here for the Pumpkin Carve event. Unfortunately, the parking lot had to be be larger than the actual event ground and traffic into the event was incredibly slow. The grounds had a nice atmosphere though, and the historical society seems to be very good at organizing events! I am planning on checking out the barn during normal operation sometime.
