Aatma Dance Studio — Attraction in Chamblee

I moved from Orlando to Atlanta the beginning of 2025 and had to find an On1 salsa studio asap! Aatma was the only On1 salsa studio in town! I joined and was immediately welcomed and met by amazing people in class. The instructors are all talented; Ashwin, Kristen, Ale, Devin, Cynthia, Luna, Pam, Mike (listed in random order). I have taken privates with Pam and Ale and have gained so much knowledge and improved my technique. I also joined my first dance team ever, the Aatma Fusion Dance Team! It has been such a rewarding experience and has challenged me to grow as a dancer dramatically! Practicing, performing, and traveling with people who quickly become your friends is such a wonderful experience! I understand that teaching dance can be challenging, but I found the instructors to be dismissive and even rude. My friend and I were treated horribly from the moment we opened the door and paid for our lesson. As someone who is relatively new to dance, I was hoping for more positive reinforcement, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and undervalued.

Aatma studios is truly a happy place! I have been taking classes since March of this year and it’s become my second home it is truly the best part of my day! The community is more than welcoming and respectful. Considering I’m still in high school I have never had an uncomfortable experience at Aatma studios (other than Ashwin’s complex 301 foot patterns lol). There honestly is no better place I can recommend to start your journey in dance.
