Maya Nails & Beauty — Attraction in Chamblee

I got a simple SNS manicure- 1 color, no designs. I spent way too much time here. I was at the salon for almost 3 hours! I will say that staffing is limited. However, I was told that the nail tech that was supposed to do my manicure was asked to do someone else’s nails at the spa next door…Why she was servicing someone outside of the salon instead of the customer inside the salon, I’m not sure, but it seemed rude. Apart from that, the trainee and the tech that did my nails were very nice, and they paid great attention to detail. Though my manicure looked nice, it did not last. The top layer of my SNS manicure (which should last 2+ weeks!) started peeling a couple of hours after I got my nails done. I went back the next day to get them fixed. The same thing started happening again a couple hours after getting them fixed. Now, about 1 week later, my nails are chipping and peeling even more. I have never had this happen with an SNS manicure before. The salon was not very clean. The waiting chairs were dirty and stained. Nail stations are not cleaned in-between customers. I was told to wash my hands and scrub the excess SNS powder off of my skin. There were 2 brushes that all customers are expected to use. They both had pink bacteria growing at the base of the brush bristles. Also, they had a puppy at the salon. It was cute, and it would have been fine- if it had been cleaned up after. When I went to get my nails fixed, there was dog urine on the floor that someone had laid paper towels on top of but did not clean up. Unfortunately, I would not come...

I visited Maya Nails & beauty for the first time yesterday. I must say that I was very impressed. The salon is so beautiful, clean and inviting. I love the vibe and nail technicians are super friendly. These girls are super artistic and you can tell that they are very passionate about what they do. I absolutely love how beautiful they made my nails look. I just couldn’t believe seeing the beautiful designs that they can do on your nails. Best of all they all spoke Spanish and English for me it was easy to communicate with them and they understood exactly what I wanted. I will definitely continue visiting Maya’s nail and beauty.
