To whom it may concern;
We live in a current age of society where almost every single negative interaction is highlighted and people are so quick to point out flaws but only a select few take the time to bring attention to a positive interaction. Which is why I want to take a brief moment to focus on one of your employees, i believe her name was Jaidyn Coy. She was the wedding organizer.
You have an exceptional employee in her; weddings are a very delicate thing. It's one of the biggest milestones of a relationship perhaps besides having children and so the pressure for having everything go right is immense obviously. I love my cousin Andrew, and all of his groomsmen, we're a great group of guys. However you can have the most talented roster of players in a sense but without the right coach and direction, it won't matter. Enter Jaidyn, she was able to rope all of us in, she did such a phenomenal job at the amazing balancing act it was to manage both groom & bridal parties. She is a shining star in your organization, with her ability to manuever every situation or hurdle that presented itself. There was a wide variety of personalities present and yet she effortlessly managed to rope each one in resulting in the most beautiful wedding possible. It was an absolutely perfect day followed by an even moreso perfect evening. And I just know it was because of her.
I'm not sure who hired her but i assure you that it was one of the best decisions ever made at that golf course, she is ultra talented without a ceiling when it comes to her potential. I pray this email finds you well and that you don't take these words lightly. There is the old saying, people will forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel. I can confidently say, because of her professionalism and unparalleled skillset that everytime this wedding is thought about, it'll bring back memories of a picture perfect time capsule our family and friends will have forever. She really is something special, I pray she continues to find success within your organization and that you reward her appropriately. I'm not sure what the policy is for great feedback but I hope she is recognized amongst her peers as the real MVP. She's a beacon of excellence and the standard she set/held for your club was second to none. I think I even caught her working well into the night, that's a rare occurrence in today's society unfortunately so i pray you are in agreeance with how valuable she is to your organization.
Best regards, Brent Troyer
I submitted this twice on the contact us tab on your website, unfortunately no one responded, and there was no acknowledgment. Hopefully this is a better outlet for...
Read moreNot at all what it seems. My wedding was beautiful don’t get my wrong but there were many flaws in the service here and many strengths too.
The bad: First, Bri the day of coordinator… she was great getting us ready for the ceremony but come the reception she disappeared and then reappeared gave us food and a picture and said she’s leaving for the night at about 7:30PM meanwhile we could’ve used her help throughout and especially at the end when we didn’t know where she had put any of the items she held for us. 2nd the DJ Giovanny was absolutely terrible at coordinating the times.. he took so long to get the dancing started. He was dragging out all of the more lulling parts of the wedding. 3rd is that they wouldn’t allow us to come more than 2 hours before. What’s the point of a bridal suite when you can’t even be in there for anything because your rushing to get pictures done which we missed out on half of because we didn’t have enough time. 4th we elected to cut the cake without stopping the party because we didn’t want everyone to stop again but no one ever announced It and we were not aware they were leaving it on the table in the corner and not serving it to the guests. Lastly, they miscommunicated at the time Of booking about the overseeing process on the lower lawn and stated I could have my ceremony either place and then at my final meeting told me the lawn couldn’t be used because of seeding. They did eventually fix the issue and i did get to use the lower lawn. the ceremony space mixup caused a lot of stress and I feel should never have happened.
The goods!! The venue itself is gorgeous! The bartenders were fantastic and the food was delicious! The chef was so accommodating and really made everything so well!! The Photo Booth company was easy to work with and gave a great book with the photos at the end! Bri was helpful with the arch and rehearsal before hand and went out of her way to get fabric to complete the arch. The florist did a great job with all of our flowers! Prior to the wedding everyone at ocotillo was very responsive to all my questions and concerns. They do have a variety of options for colors of linens etc. The DJ did play good dancing music once the dancing finally started.
Overall it was a fantastic day but feel they should really tweak somethings to make the experience better and maybe consider a...
Read moreI've been in S. Chandler for 20+ years and have played well over 300-rounds at this course. Ocotillo has always been one of my FAVORITES - not the most challenging, but ultra convenientt for a Chandler resident and always in GREAT shape. Troon did a great job (as always) managing the overall club, but the course could always be counted on as REALLY GOOD. Since this management take over (Phil's company) the course has consistently gone DOWN HILL - to currently being at its absolute lowest point in its history. The course is basically in TERRIBLE shape. It is so disappointing to see the course like this; the fairways are essentially GONE. The course kind of 'looks' green, but it really does not matter where you hit your t-shot, you will not have a good lie - the grass is DEAD - -literally crispy and hard pan in the MAJORITY of the fairways. The t-boxes... again, so said to see Ocotillo in this shape - they are bad, like never before. Uneven for one, but torn up and basically destroyed on many. Scalping turf from a t-box (#5 on Gold) has NEVER happened - but its the case now. Greens... not TERRIBLE, but certainly not "Ocotillo greens'. To see large parts of greens DEAD, hard pan, and just unattended.... sad! If the fairways and t- boxes are any indication of what is to come - I expect the greens to be wasted away in no-time. Bunkers... really? How much is SAND??? How do you NOT have ANY sand in the bunkers - for months?!!? Just bad.... the staff should go to The Legacy for a lesson in how a course should be kept and managed. I have to assume there was a HUGE turn-over in key personnel with the management change. Most of the long-time personnel (course, pro-shop, restaurants / bar - all gone -- I'm sure because they were making 'too much money' and this new management is eager to show much more 'profit' can be taken. NEWSFLASH -- you will lose ALL OF YOUR CLIENTEL and eventually lose the course. Whoever the Superintendent / Greens keeper are - they need to be FIRED, seriously. Putting mats on driving range....? Really? Does Phil like to practice off mats? There are city courses that Make Ocotillo look bad right now. Phil (or delegate) -- TAKE ACTION, PLEASE! Ocotillo Golf Course is a mainstay for Chandler residents, its going down the tubes at an...
