Their ticket scanner would not work to scan my e tickets on my phone. They said oh well and didn't even count or look at all my tickets. I had 5 small kids plus me and my husband. But they sure do bag checks! I'm never coming back.
Whoever is in charge of the music plays some nasty music although the game and their idea of a patriotic song is the country song Independence Day about the woman who gets beat up by her husband until she sets the house on fire with him in it. 3 patriotic songs and that one made it to the top 3. Sad.
On July 5 I had a complaint about one of their vendors Quantum rentals who double charged me and yelled at me when I told them the amount is wrong. and the lady supervisor at the "first aid" counter had me write down my name, no contact info, it's a farce. She left to go do fireworks but didn't tell me. Her employees said just wait here. I waited for 15 minutes. Turns out they expected me to wait until she came back. She was down there for the duration of the fireworks. I never saw her come back. Crowds are leaving. She pretended to take my complaint and darted away. Same lady who did...
Read morePlanned to spend the day here while my mom was in town. Paid for ice skating from 12-2 then ice bumper boats 2-4pm, and then paid for the walk thru light area, which starts at 5 for 9 people, which totaled $225. Well, they decided not to do the boats that day and just do skating for the rest of the time, which was too much skating (also my mom is too old for skating so was going to do the boats) and not what we wanted. Didn't want to just sit around until 5 pm at that point, so decided to just leave at 2. Wasn't offered any kind of refund or raincheck. Sorry, but if I pay for something I don't receive, at least a partial refund should have been offered. On top of the wasted money for things we didn't receive, you cant bring in any food or drinks, they had no food available and th waters we bought were $4 each. Like come on, we already paid to get in here you can at least offer drinks for a reasonable fee such as $1 each and you'd still be making money on a pack of water. Rip off!! Won't be going back in...

Appalachian Power Park’s Light the Night spectacular is the greatest addition to the Charleston Christmas scene in the last 20 years easily beating out the enjoyable Holy Jolly Brawley. First, the lighting design was professional. Second, the lights tell a story. Third, the displays are all unique and special. The apple tree and cherry blossom trees were my favorite. I really hope the displays are stored properly so it is still just as fresh in 2024. I wonder how they can plus themselves.
I see place like this in Houston and the charge $49 per car. I feel like $9 per adult mid week is a great value for a family activity.
If I was granted the opportunity to give suggestions I would want more options to get warmth. I would love more of a traditional European Christmas market versus the candle and squish toys vendors. I’m sure that would be hard...
