Progress Park — Attraction in Charlotte

This park has just been remodeled with a pavilion big enough for about a 20-person party with some seating. It has a great little playground for kids that is usually empty. I've seen plenty of get togethers here that have gone off without a hitch and a neighborhood meet and greet. It is a little close to a busy street but there is a fence that surrounds the perimeter and it's pavilion and playground are set back far enough that it shouldn't be a problem.

With that being said the neighborhood does have a lot of foot traffic and not from the most friendly type of people. I would stay away from this park when it gets dark, I don't think it's dangerous but a few boys like to hang out there from time to time and they don't look...

Very cute and very simple. My only complaints are that there was shattered glass all over the ground. Especially in the covered picnic area and there was a very exhausted man sleeping in the park and had two shopping carts full of belongings with him.
