I switched to the Noda Mimosa Nails location after experiencing nails quickly breaking after a new set from a nearby location. Things were going well at first and I had no problems with my nails...until I tried Gel X. Per the recommendation of one of the very kind nail techs, I switched from SNS to Gel X. As I was about to get my Gel X, I overheard the manager warn the nail tech of something related to using Gel X, that I should have inquired more about but unfortunately I didn't. I switched to Gel X and liked my nails the first set and everything seemed okay until I had one nail break right before an event I was attending. I was able to come in and have my nail fixed quickly, free of charge which was appreciated. However, a few days later or so, another nail broke. I too was able to get it fixed free of charge. When the second nail broke, the manager said I needed to switch to acrylic because it was stronger and showed me how her three week old nails were lasting since having acrylic done. When I got my next set, the manager told the nail tech to do acrylic based on her recommendation from my back to back visits for broken nails. She of course did not warn me of the price that I'd have to pay to remove all of my gel-x nails and switch to acrylic. Shortly after switching to acrylic and right before going on a work trip, a nail broke and I had to go in and get it fixed. This time I was charged saying it had been 9 days since I came in last. I paid for my nail and it was quickly fixed before I had to fly out. The first fill in with the acrylic nail, a similar situation occurred once again. Right before heading out on a vacation this time, I had to have one nail fixed and quite frankly it was a botch job where my nail was left so lumpy that it almost could have stayed broken. However, it was hours before my flight so I took it since they fixed it in under 30 minutes. This last fill-in however was my final straw. I came in for a fill in and even agreed to get a simple polish since they were understaffed. This was on June 16th. On June 18th, while zipping up my luggage for a trip, one nail pops off, hours before I was catching a flight. At that point, I had to leave with a broken nail. The next day June 19th, I went to get that one nail fixed in Chicago. Right after getting the one nail fixed, I zipped my bag to move to go to my hotel and a second nail breaks. I was able to keep the broken part of that nail and glue it back in place. Then Saturday, a third nail broke off. My nails are not too long and I wasn't doing hard work for them to break, just zipping up a bag. The week I returned, nail polish began chipping from several nails. I wasn't able to go in and get this fixed this past week due to a hectic schedule, so I called today to see what could be done. I called two days June 18th about the first two broken nails to report what happened, although I was in a different city. I was offered 20% off, but at this point I need a new set. Although it is going on two weeks, most of the issues happened within days of paying for a new set. Long story long, I do not recommend Mimosa Nails Noda location if you are looking for lasting nails after paying a...

While my stylist was pleasant and the pedicure was decent, I did expect more cleanliness and a more lavish customer experience for the price & such raving reviews.

I arrived shortly after lunch and was seated immediately. My stylist didn’t ask what temp I liked the water but did confirm what type of pedicure I wanted to receive (the Uptown Pedi $68). I went to the bathroom. While tissue, soap, paper towels were provided, I couldn’t help but notice that the bathroom was not very clean. Once arriving back to my seat I asked the stylist could she do a good French tip, because surprisingly, I’ve been to “experts” who botch it. As I’m receiving my pedicure, more people start to arrive who want pedicures. They decide to sit us all beside each other when here are ample seats available to spread us out because the seats are VERY close together. I’m also just looking around while I’m getting this WORK done on my toes and that’s when I noticed the uncleanliness below the bowls outer surface and trash behind the seats.

I have no complaints as far as custom tee service but for an establishment with over 1k reviews and recommend on google…well in establish like this period, it should be SPOTLESS! Also, don’t listen to the TikTok “influencers” that’s how I ended up here. I didn’t check the Google Reviews. I’m a creator myself and had I had a better experience and felt like creating today…there would be a different search results when it comes to Mimosa Nail Bar via TikTok.

Oh and if you do decide to try it, just get the $40 pedi for your first visit. I d k why I elected to get the more expensive options before knowing what type of establishment I was walking into…but I did. The Gel add on is $20 (wild) and French tip is $10 which resulted in an almost $100 1 hour & 20 minute pedicure. My feet feel amazing and I have the say my stylist did a great job with my pedi, checking with me every step of the way. And the customer service was okay too. But because I value cleanliness and overall stellar experience, I will likely not be back or recommend this establishment.

Hope this review...

First time here, came mid-day on a Saturday and was expecting a wait, but they got me in a chair immediately. They have plenty of pedi chairs so seems easy to turn people around. Really liked the general atmosphere of the shop and they have a large color selection that you can do from a book which makes it a lot easier. *Had to revise my review after my tech actually completed the full pedicure, absolutely one of the worst pedi/polish jobs I've ever had. She clipped my nails crooked and jagged, didn't bother to actually file them to be straight and then did an abysmal job polishing. It looks like a child polished my nails, it's not smooth and there's polish all over my skin. I'm in shock that she looked at this finished product and thought it was an acceptable job. Don't even trust her to fix it so I'll just be going home and salvaging this best I can but WOW do they need some quality control with the pedis. I'm sure every tech is not this bad but this is someone letting you know you guys need to get a grip on that asap. I'm super turned off from this place and initially I was excited that I had found a nice, easy shop to go to but don't think I can come back after what I just experienced. Honestly it felt like she didn't really care and was kind of rushing most of the time but for me, as long as the finished product is good at the end of the day I don't care, I'm rather easy to please, but this was a big NO for me. Just be aware, I don't like to micromanage and expect that a decent nail shop can do a simple pedi with polish but I'd be taking a closer look to nip the poor quality in the bud early if you come here. I got the "midtown" pedi and paid $47. All in all, I cannot recommend based off the personal experience I just had. Added photos of how absolutely terrible this pedi looks, I walked straight out of the salon and took these...

As someone new to the area, I was excited to find my new go-to nail salon. After reading that this place was "Voted Best Nail Salon," I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience left me wondering—voted best by whom? I had called ahead to make an appointment but was told that I didn't need one, so I walked in, stated my name, and the service I wanted. There seemed to be some confusion about who would be taking care of me, and as I waited, I noticed that the floors were unfinished. I figured maybe they were renovating, so I tried to keep an open mind. Once I was directed to a pedicure chair, I started to notice the equipment was falling apart (see photos), and the entire salon was in desperate need of cleaning. There was dust and debris everywhere, which was far from reassuring. For the first time, I genuinely wanted to leave a salon mid-service. A few minutes into my pedicure, an associate asked if I wanted something to drink. I requested a Mimosa—considering the salon’s name, I didn’t think it was a far reach. To my surprise, I was told they usually have them but had been out of cups since the day before. The salon is in a city—this seemed like an easily solvable problem. Couldn't someone run out to a nearby Dollar Tree, Target, or Walmart? The service itself took a whopping 2.5 hours for a basic pedicure and powder manicure, no designs. Now, just one week out from the appointment, my nails look like it’s been three weeks because the powder wasn’t applied close to the cuticle. It’s incredibly frustrating to have wasted my time and money on this experience. If you're in the market for a new nail spot, this is not it!
