I have faithfully purchased my Christmas trees from Simpsons for well over 10 years. Last year I had breast cancer, so a family member bought my tree and wreath, so I was really looking forward to getting back to normal. Imagine my surprise yesterday seeing the tree prices starting at $175 for the small ones, and having the gentleman tell me “blame your President for the prices.” Whoa! I will type the same way I replied… “I don’t discuss politics and the President didn’t grow, cut, or price these trees.” And I left. Unfortunate experience. I’ll have a tree up by this weekend. Just not from Simpsons. ((This coming from someone who has family in Western NC and TN - and uncle used to have a tree farm growing up.)) Sad...
Read moreWe usually love this pumpkin and tree patch. I felt like the trees were wildly overpriced. We got a standard 8ft tree for $200. We had friends get theirs up in Boone for $120. Not to mention the needles are already falling off everywhere. We’ve only had it for about a week and have ensured it has stayed watered. Really bummed. Unfortunately I think we will be shopping elsewhere. Parking was very easy and we were immediately greeted by multiple workers as we walked up. Once we found our tree, they took it down, trimmed, it and loaded into the back of our track - almost faster than we could pay!
That said, if you’re looking for the all day experience with hay rides and cutting down your own tree, then look elsewhere.
