I have never been so disrespected by a grocery store employee ever in my life.
I had just gotten out of the gym. I feel exhausted and I drove to this Lidl to buy some food. I forgot my wallet, so I went inside to ask the cashier if I can use Apple Pay first before I grabbed my cart. Once he said that I can, I headed back to the front to grab my cart but my son (who is Autistic) texted me. He is an adult, lives by himself, but I help him with his everyday life matters.
I was texting him back as I was walking out the entrance to grab a cart to walk back into the store, and a store associate called “Martin” started to yell at me. “Ma’am you can’t walk out that way!” Not in a kind way, but this man started to shout at me in front of everyone. I was already out the front door so I just kept going and grabbed a cart.
(I understand that I should have walked all the way around and thru the exit. Yes, I admit I was wrong, but if you would have been there you would have noticed that I was already out the door by the time he yelled like a maniac. You would have also noticed that I was exhausted and sweating, and worried about my son. This man could have been a little nicer since HE WORKS THERE.)
As I came back in, he came at me shouting and saying “you’re not shopping here, get out!” He yanked my cart away from me, and when I said “I am not leaving!” He said “then I’m calling the cops!”
I said “okay call them then!” Then I continued shopping like nothing happened without a cart. Everyone around was shocked at his interaction with me. I almost recorded it, but I was too caught up with the nonsense.
He was SO disrespectful, rude, and a diva. He really shouldn’t be in customer service. As I left he said “bye!” Like a diva.

Read moreWhile comparing Lidl to Aldi, our usual haunt, Lidl felt slightly disorganized this morning. Stocking crews maneuvering trolleys created navigation bottlenecks, particularly in the meat aisle. Everything looked damp, with dripping packages adding to the unappealing scene. Despite a restocking lady present, the aisle lacked variety. This mid-morning stocking, if typical, disrupts the shopping flow.
Lidl's prices skew slightly higher than Aldi's. Their bakery, though extensive, offers pre-opened baked goods arranged conveniently in bins for a grab-and-go approach. However, the "freshness factor" was missing. Notably absent was a dedicated bagging area, forcing us to hastily transfer things from cart to register and then relocate to an empty lane for bagging. Self-checkout would be a game-changer here. Numerous unoccupied checkout lanes felt like wasted space.
While specialty items might lure us back on occasion, Lidl likely won't replace our regular...
Read moreThis location just opened up this month. There were coupons the mail so you know that I had to check it out. This place is really nice and I enjoy the options. Random item I found was a smoothie blender for $17. I am seem to start going here more the Walmart around the corner. The prices are good too and the apps gives you rewards the more you spend there. So yeah, this is now my quick go to store now.
Update it's been over a year and I am still going to this location. I have moved and I am still going here every time I need groceries. Now I have a 15min drive instead of 2. I even went there today. With prices always rising, Lidl is a no brainier. (Side note: there is a lidl & Aldi closer but I go to this location because it is cleaner and the staff...
