Booker T. Washington Park — Attraction in Charlottesville

I come here a lot. Visit with different people from that neighborhood who walk their dogs, as I do, there. Always have their doggie bag dispensers well loaded and the city takes good care of the park. Nice to hear the fun and games from the pool in the background if you're in upper part of park. Nice park in the center of the city; walkable to all kinds of businesses and housing. Lots of different amenities; 2-5 playground, 5+ playground, public pool, sport fields, basketball courts, native garden, boardwalk and a new nature trail going in this week that will connect from the pool playground to the bog garden. I really like this park. The pool is nice too. It has a large section off one too two foot deep for kids who can't swim; Complete with a rain mushroom. Two other seconds that are deeper. The deepest section has a tall corkscrew slide so it must be at least six feet deep. The employees are kind and helpful. This pool isn't as packed as onesty in Charlottesville.
