First of all you can't actually see the tubs of ice cream from in front of the register. You can't watch the workers make it. I think that takes a little bit of the fun out of it personally. I got 2 waffle cones with sprinkles, total was $15. That's already insanely expensive but that would've been fine if the ice cream was really good. The ice cream was worse than a supermarket brand. I got cookie dough, it was generic and tasted like sweet ice with large uniform round chunks of processed cookie dough. Very little flavor with weird texture and the ice cream tasted of bland sweetened ice. They have a sign that says real ice cream from real farmers, if that is true then I feel bad for the farmers who's hard work goes into this inferior product. The waffle cone was also disappointing, completely hard, really thick, and tasted of nothing but sugar. The service was borderline disrespectful, workers had a hard time understanding me and made me repeat my order a couple times. If I had known the product I was going to get was lackluster I would've gone to the store and made my own. I understand the convenience point but this was not worth it. It’s 8:45 pm. This place closes at 9 pm. There are 5 people in front of me in line. One of their employees stood at the back of the line of 5, and as I tried to join the line in the 6th spot, she said, “Sorry, we’re closed after these 5.” I asked her “y’all close at 9, right?” She confirmed that my understanding was correct. I looked at the 5 people in front of me and then back at her, incredulously, I said “okay then, thanks,” and I walked away. This was absolutely ridiculous. What kind of a business turns away customers who show up during operational hours on the flimsy basis that it won’t make it through 6 customers in 15 minutes? If you’re there before 9 pm, you should be served. This place has lost my business permanently going forward, and I will be sure to go out of my way to tell everyone I know about the shoddy service I received here today. We placed an order for two things and they were both made wrong. One was for ice cream in a cup. It came out in a cone. The other was for a small hot fudge Sundae. I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry to which I said no thanks. She said well it comes with one topping to which I chose peanuts. The sundae came out with a cherry and so much whipped cream I could not even see the ice cream. I told the man I needed it without whipped cream and cherry. He told me Well that’s the way it comes. After some “discussion” he agreed to remake it. Then came the next surprise. The “hot fudge” is only chocolate syrup and precious little of it at that. Definitely Not a $7 Sundae! The ice cream at Moo Thru is good, which is why I give 2 stars and not 1, but my advice is skip the “hot fudge”...
