My fiance and I have season tickets to UVA Baseball and I have spent a fair amount of time here. It's a great ball park but nothing is perfect.
Let's start with the pros: Vending stands have good selections. They offer alcohol Merch shop is decent The special events during games are really fun Parking is free (but not guaranteed to be close) however there are handicap friendly solutions. For the most part family friendly fun.
The cons though in my opinion: The container policy is a bit ridiculous, you cannot bring a container even clear and empty in to use the filtered water fountains to fill up with. It's a bit greedy since the water are $4 a piece. Bags and backpacks have to be clear/see through. It is what it is for safety I suppose but beware of that I have definetly seen people returning to...

I've never had an opportunity to attend a UVa baseball game at The Dish before, but after the Hoo's put up another impressive season and were selected to host the NCAA Conference Playoffs, I decided to make it a priority. It did not disappoint. It is a beautifully maintained spot, considering it is over 20yrs old. My biggest complaint is that I purchased 2 tickets/seats, but upon arriving, discovered we had no seat. Instead, I was told we would have to stand along the back wall. I can only assume that they over-sold tickets to make $ and didn't have enough seats to...
