The park is a wonderful place for children, featuring a variety of engaging activities and safe spaces for play. With its brightly colored playground equipment, ample grassy areas for running and picnicking, and shaded spots for relaxation, it offers an ideal environment for kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Parents can feel at ease knowing their children can play freely while making new friends in a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.

Well it’s a nice park with a splash pad, two covered pavilions that you can rent and a basketball court and restrooms. Unfortunately, the day we went for my daughters birthday the splash pad never turned on - as best as we could tell there had not been any communication that it wouldn’t be on. There were two other bday parties and 20-30 very disappointed kids ☹️

Great place to bring small toddlers and kids! Very splash pad to cool off during a hot sunny day. Loved having the shelter and splash pad near by. Sadly, bathrooms are in the opposite direction from the shelter. Free entry!

We attended our grandson's 7th birthday party at Forest Hills Park on Sat, June 16th. The park is great! The splash pad is perfect and the kids had a great time. Our problem was that one family was monopolizing every table under the free-use pavilion. Our party relocated to 3 different areas of the pavilion to accommodate the other party. Someone in our party brought their own table, thank goodness. Our food was set up on that. It was hot and we wanted to be able tp sit down in the shade too. It wasn't courteous or fair for the other party to not share the space. We ate and fed the kids while standing in a small corner of the pavilion while another group monopolized all six tables. It was ridiculous! They had music blaring, brought their own grill and had multiple cases of beer on several tables. There are signs posted, prohibiting alcohol. I finally sat down at the table closest to where we were all standing. The other party kept trying to make me get up and force us to leave. One of them told another person in our group that we should leave because the music they planned to play was not suitable for children. At a children's park??? Then they crowded us and all lit cigarettes and blew the smoke towards us, including the person holding a sleeping infant. It was frustrating and ridiculous. When we were trying to sing "happy birthday", they were screaming in the background and blasted their music to overpower us singing. Way to ruin a 7 year old's birthday party. My husband is a former CPD officer and he finally got them to agree to let us have one table. He also arranged for CPD to raid the party after we left. Who brings alcohol and inappropriate music to a children's playground? Such a shame, since the park is so...

It's is a fantastic park best of all it is free. Plenty of things to do for children of all ages one of the nice things is we had a picnic in the grass and there are large shaded trees that provide a lot of shade when it's really hot outside. of course there's a spray park with all kinds of fun things with kids absolutely wonderful. top of that there's a huge pavilion and a lot of people have birthday parties there so we heard. there is also a public restroom access. missionary there is a fantastic playground toddler playground and older kids playground it is wonderful because the ground is bouncy and soft so nobody can really get hurt I hate the mulch that gets in the kids shoes. this place is fantastic my two-year-old had a blast and so did all his cousins ages 10 and under. You will not regret checking this place out it is free. My only complaint would be it is in a bad part of town off...

Wonderful atmosphere. The tarmac under the playground equipment is a rubberized material so it is soft instead of hard like asphalt.

The Pavillion is spacious and there are many picnic tables to select from.

Only minus marks are from the fact that there are no standing grills, so food will require more then a little planning.

The restrooms are locked outside of summertime, but a port-a-potty is provided on site.

No issues with pets s far, all have been well behaved and non-agressive outside of the normal "stop yanking my tail" bark(which is a good alternative to the...
