Higher Grounds — Restaurant in Charlottesville

I was in the hospital for a month with broken water and once I had my daughter she was in the NICU for a month. This place was my saving grace everyday. Being stuck at the hospital for 2 months felt unbearable but this was such a nice thing to have especially the month I was there with broken water and couldn’t leave at all. The people working are super friendly and would even ask about me and my baby. I tried I think every drink on the menu and all were delicious. I got to the point I would just say to surprise me and could trust they could make something delicious. The one lady also remembered every time I could only drink decaf which was so nice when I know they see at least 100 faces a day. I am not entirely sure how this establishment isn’t called out more often. I asked for an iced vanilla late with an extra shot and received milk with a splash of espresso.
