Meade Park — Attraction in Charlottesville

Family friendly water park during summer months, closed Wednesday. Wednesdays 3-7:00 pm Charlottesville Farmers Mkt is held here. Clean bathrooms open week-long. Tall beautiful trees for shade around the pool area, easy grass to walk on. Family friendly, bring strollers or kids wagons to check it out. Makes a wonderful Farmers Mk T environment. Ok, I have it a great review a little while ago. That was before there was some maintenance issue, and we waited poolside for over an hour with no word on the repair status for the staff. Other guests said that maintenance had not even notified when the problem arose. Not sure where that info cam from.

When we were leaving, we were informed maintenance had not even arrived yet at the desk. We were offered no refund, no passes for later... Nothing. $33 wasted.

We were so disappointed, especially my daughter as it was her 10th bday. :(. Don't think we'll be going back. On to Plan B...

PARK Nice park for littles, a cute little shallow creek to explore, an older covered pavillion. Nice parking lot. use of Meade Pool outside bathrooms is nice.

POOL Fun occasional visit for the kids. borders on amusement park or beach hotel fun. Overpriced and crowded for regular visits but still still more affordable and fun than Fry Springs. With the elimination of Mcintyre wading pool (historic loss), Meade is better than...
