The Glass Palette - Interactive Glass Art Studio — Attraction in Charlottesville

Unique! Creative! Friendly! Patient! Different! Kind! Fun! 5 stars is simply NOT enough for our experience!!!! I LOVE this place and here's why ... I scheduled this as a surprise for our family of 4 to celebrate our sons 10th birthday this past Saturday. He loves doing crafts and I was hoping for something new and different - THIS place nailed it!!!!! It was very new to us and i havent seen anything like this available to do, so i signed our family up for it. Little did I know it has become one our family's FAVORITE things we've EVER done together!!! Everyone at The Glass Palette was SO personable, kind, and patient with all of us - my daughter whom is 7 had a little bit of a hard time cutting the glass but was able to create her own masterpiece with help from me as well as the instructors and when my son used too much glue they came to the rescue to help fix the problem, then they stood by to make sure it was done right which meant SO much to me as a mom and also since it was so special for his big day!!!!!! My husband, whom can barely draw stick figures and not much into crafts REALLY enjoyed himself making his project and has been talking about since we left!! We will be back to visit when we are in town per my family's request!!!!...

My son and I were on vacation when we decided to stop in as we were driving through the town. The owner's greeted us at the door, had a friendly conversation with us , and then showed us the different projects that we could do. As we sat and waited for them to bring the glass over they explained how to cut the glass, and had another friendly conversation. They made sure they checked that we had all the materials needed. As I worked on my frame ,my son was still trying to figure out what he was going to make. It took him a little bit but when he finally figured it out, he came up with a picture of the 4 seasons on his candle holder. He did a terrific job on it. and they both turned out beautifully. If you are driving through look it up and definitely try it out. Your imagination can go simple or crazy as you figure out what you want to do on it. What an amazing place! My son and I drove from Suffolk, VA, just to go to the glass palette. The ladies there were wonderful, and the experience was so unique. My son and I both love art, and any chance to make our own is welcomed. You can spend a very small amount of money or a larger amount of money, so cost is in your own hands. And they will mail you your pieces if you don't live nearby! I encourage anyone who is thinking of going there to go for it. You will not be disappointed. The hardest part is waiting to get your finished pieces. I know they will look great and the ones we made for other people will be such unique, personal gifts!
