I recently booked my son’s 4th birthday party at Boston Playground. I actually reserved the space before seeing it in person, and I’m glad I did—because if I had seen it beforehand, I might have had second thoughts. That said, I’m so glad we went through with it!
The play area is big, clean, and full of fun things to do. There’s plenty of space for the kids to run around without being on top of each other. One of the best parts is that parents can go in and play too, which made it a really fun experience for both kids and adults. Everyone had a great time!
The party room is definitely small—just two picnic tables—so if you’re hoping for a full sit-down meal, it’ll feel tight. That was our plan, and while it was a bit cramped, everything still worked out in the end.
Seriously, give yourself the extra time to set up, decorate, clean, and take things down. The time flies. Book at least 30 minutes before and after your party. Trust me, you’ll need it.
The price is actually great—$500 for two hours. That’s already a better deal than a lot of similar places charging $700 for the same amount of time. So go ahead and add that extra hour or two and still come out ahead, with more time and a better overall experience.
Yes, the staff does give you a polite push to wrap things up when your time is up—but it’s only fair since they need to get ready for the next group. They were all kind, helpful, and professional throughout.
Tip them in cash if you can—they work hard and absolutely deserve it.
Highly recommend for a fun, energetic, and kid-friendly...
Read moreWe had a great party celebrating our daughter's 2nd birthday at Boston Playground! The booking process online was easy and simple. They were open on a Monday holiday. We had a group of 40+. For large groups, I would recommend adding the additional hour so guests can have more time on the playground.
Here are the pros and cons: Pros: -The venue was very clean -The venue accommodated our large group -Tables, chair/bench and fridge was provided -They allowed the freedom to decorate freely All kids age group 3-10 enjoyed themselves It was private to just our group
Cons: -The venue was very cold, although we asked many times to have the thermostat increased the party room was on the smaller side, kids were able to sit at the tables but adults stood and overflowed into the hallway There was no host so you have to manage your own time and keep track of your 2 hours The pizza shop recommended for catering was not a great experience. Guests mentioned the pizza did not taste good. I would suggest ordering from your preferred pizza shop (we wish we did).
Overall it was a good experience and we would recommend to others looking for an indoor playground for a kid's...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTED AND NOT RECOMMEND.
Based on what I heard, this suppose to be one of the top indoor playground for families. We booked a private party for total of 18, and hoping to have a good two and half hour there.
However, the time was full of disappointment:
The place is super hard to find from outside. No clear notice or board showing you how to get inside. You have to go into a dollar tree and find a secret path to the playground.
Safety concerns all over the place. We have 5 toddlers in our group. But the place is lacking proper protections for all ages: the outlets are all exposed, the foosball table poles were broken...
Staff run into the playground and start cleaning in the middle while kids are playing. This is very annoying because kids get upset when the their settings get reset.
The duration of this session was also very confusing, they allow you to add party package to get 30 mins more, which we expect to be two and half based on the website. Their staff cannot explain the rate at all so he has to call the “boss man” to clarify it.
Anyhow, it was quite an unpleasant...
