" Starbucks in a dangerous neighborhood " Chelsea MA has quit the reputation it's going through gentrification though . The reputation of being dangerous . The staff reflects the ghetto nature of the neighborhood. They have no class or ethic . I never quit seen this behavior reflective of Starbucks before . I have been a customer since a child . Spent hundreds even thousands of dollars at Starbucks; through the decades . I asked for the code to the bathroom. The guy on duty said I had to pay for a coffee first. He said it was to keep the riff rats out . Because it's a dangerous neighborhood. Despite me coming in with a two piece outfit a scarf and dressy jacket . It was not enough to note; I was not a riff rat . I also had a Chanel bag . So when I pass through this area ; I don't think I will be coming to this coffee shop again. I did buy the large coffee I was going to buy after using the bathroom . However since I couldn't use the bathroom without ordering the coffee first ; I had to order the coffee while almost urinating in my pants . Disgusting behavior on behave of the staff here . Read moreI've come to this location a few times always slow service, not very friendly, and drink made poorly. But never really complained except when the drink is made poorly, but nothing to write about just ask for a different one. But today was AWFUL! I ordered a tall shaken espresso on the mobile app said order will be ready around 12 58. I got there asked for my mobile order. I was asked to drive away and come back when it's ready. A little annoying but whatever fine. I come back after 7 min to the window after 2 cars ordered in the drivethru and got their orders. I waited at the window where my drink was sitting. A girl named Remi came over handed me my drink and said "next time I need to wait for an alert to say my drink is ready" I told her the app said 12 58 and it was now 1 09. And idk what the problem is if my drink is sitting in the window. She said it's a new thing that mobile orders take at least 12 min and the customer needs to wait for a ready alert. When the worker finally did arrive to the register to take my order which he saw me standing at the whole time he stated why didn’t I just mobile order on the app as if it was a hassle or nuisance for him to take my order. I would understand if it was one of the stores which is only mobile based, but for him to act as if I was an inconvenience just for me to be standing there waiting for someone to take my order was extremely disappointing as I’ve never experienced an interaction like this at any Starbucks.
