This was my 45th escape room across Canada and the US. Upon arrival, we got checked in quickly and taken to the room. We started our escape room and has a malfunction and there was no gamemaster watching. We called out for some help as we thought there was a malfunction. About 5 mins later two guys showed up and tried to help but couldn't. Five more minutes later we called out again and someone told us to count to ten on our walkie talkie and magically the next door opened. This was fine as we figured malfunctions happen. The next room was fine but we asked for a clue. Once again no one was watching and therefore we had to explain everything we had completed already and describe where we were. Every other escape room I have done had a dedicated gamemaster watching and assisting when needed. The next room we were stuck on one puzzle. We had a board with symbols and could not figure out the answer. The guy on the walkie talkie gave us the answer but we could not figure it out with what we had. Once we got in the next room, it was obvious that the room was put back together wrong. I found another board which had the previous answer on it, so I knew right then the boards were put back in the wrong rooms. We did finish the room and they gave us a couple extra minutes due to the mishaps. Once we finished, no one was there knowing we were out. A young guy came by and looked in the room and said "ugh I have to reset this room, I just want to eat." Then looked at us and said "I haven't done this in my six months working here so I'm not really sure and you guys can just do whatever you want." At this point we were disappointed in the service and the unprofessionalism of the worker. We left and were never talked to on the way out. The room was great but the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI brought my daughters and some friends to celebrate my daughter's birthday between 10 and 19 years old. Although I didn't go inside, I can share that it was a wonderful experience for them. They went out excited and twlling me they loved it. They could't finish the challenge because they lacked time at the end, and they were saying they would go back to finish it and try other rooms. They hadcso many good and enthusiastic coments when they finished that I started to regret not having entered with them. The cost was 30$ p/person, and one plus to share is that you can reserve a long table FOR FREE to celebrate the birthday or whatever you are celebrating. I did, and while the girls were inside the escape room like 1 1/2 hours, I took advantage of the time and decorated it with a tablecloth, Ballooms, presents, birthday decorations, snacks, cupcakes, and beverages. It was considerably cheaper that rent a space in other playing centers, to do something challenging...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came as a group of six to do an escape room. The staff member hosting us seemed a bit flustered and stressed when we arrived, and gave a very brief introduction to the escape room. They told us the rules about not climbing on things, etc. in a somewhat aggressive way. We were told we would get help with clues along the way and we were given a two-way radio to communicate with the host. After several minutes into the game, the host stopped responding to the radio. We got only one clue. After the time was up, we were scolded for accidentally breaking a small box off of the wall (it easily came off when trying to open it). The host became upset and stomped away.
This felt like very bad service. We wanted to have a fun, enjoyable time in the escape room but instead were made to feel uncomfortable by the staff. It was...
