Lion's Den Park — Attraction in Cherry Hill Township

The water fountain hasn't worked in years, which hasn't been cleaned and just sits there which is unsanitary, in which they should remove or fix. All three pickleball courts have no nets due to complaints by neighbors. I get that living next to a tennis court is not ideal, but you're gonna ruin the fun for everyone because of one or two neighbors? They also called the cops on some people setting up a portable net. Some people's kids were also complaining about some of the playgrounds features not working, such as the little communicator thing on both sides of the playground closer to the street. Otherwise, very fun for the kids and a great shaded place to cool off in during the summer! They even had a "little free library" where if you take a book from there, you can keep it, but you have to bring a book back that you don't want, which is a great concept if you ask me! Also plenty of swings and slides for the kids, and even a bridge that bounces when you jump on it connecting both halves which the kids here spent hours on! Overall an okay park at best, nothing that bad, nothing that good. There are better parks in the area, but for the neighborhood kids is a great place that's close by that they could ride their bikes to or walk! A fairly quiet park with purpose-built pickleball courts. These are not tennis courts, which is great for both tennis and pickleball players! Half of the court is shaded by trees in the afternoon. However, out of the three pickleball courts, only one court has a net installed. Apparently this is a result of the self-important residential neighbors lobbying to remove the other two nets. That's a disappointing hit to the value of this neighborhood park, and perhaps local property...

What a great find! I have lived in the area for a few years and I never knew about this place. It is a nice playground...nothing too fancy...but has LOTS of trees and shade so it's a relaxing place to hang out while my kids play. It also has Pickle Ball courts, which I haven't tried yet, but it looks like great fun. Ther is also a very nice walking, biking, rollerblading path just...
