We have been to Great Adventure many times over the years. It is a premier park for roller coasters. Visited on 5/24/18 and had a great day. My only complaint is about the security line entering the park. It was very disorganized. Basically there was just a throng of people waiting to pass through. It took about 45 minutes, and during that time we broiled in the sun. The lines should be roped off, and there should be umbrellas or canopies to provide shelter. The reat of the day was great. Here are a few tips I can offer to make your day more enjoyable: Long lines can be an issue, especially for the popular roller coasters. Bizarro, which I consider to be one of the best in the park, is an exception, probably because it is at one of the far ends of the park, requiring a longer walk. It is worth the extra legwork. You'll love the ride and the relatively short line. The first hour after the park opens and after 6 pm are the best times to avoid lines. If you can stay later you'll be rewarded with more rides. King-de-Ka is a fantastic ride, but is super popular and chronically malfunctions, often resulting in long lines. Still it is usually worth the wait, but try to get to this ride early to avoid max lines. My roller coaster rankings: Nitro- Everything you want in a coaster. Tall, fast, long, thrilling. Extremely smooth ride, which I appreciate more as I get older. King-de-Ka- Short ride, but sheer terror. The initial acceleration is out of this world. Bizarro- Has all the thrilling components you expect in a modern steel coaster. El Toro- I won't ride this anymore because I've started to black out on some of the plunges, but this is a wooden coaster on steroids. Incredibly tall and fast. Batman Joker Superman One coaster that I have always disliked is the Green Goblin. The shoulder harness is extremely...
Read moreUsually when people think of great floorless coasters, they think of Bizarro, and it's understandable why. Bizarro is a ton of fun. Would I say it's fantastic? No I wouldn't say that. I will say I was expecting a little more to this ride. It's great fun, but it kind of underwhelmed me.I was expecting more of an intense crazy ride, and sure it had its moments, but overall it wasn't that crazy. Perhaps if Six Flags were to keep the on-board audio on, I would have enjoyed it more. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has proven that on-board audio works great on roller coasters. It's a shame Bizarro doesn't have it any more. The ride is still very fun though. The inversions are fun and snappy, the theming is great especially for Six Flags, and they even have some cool effects, like when you go into the dive loop, fire shoots out beneath you. Plus like there is this sort of meat grinder thingy in the interlocking corkscrews. Overall it's as cool to look at as it is to ride. Bizarro is certainly a solid attraction, and I do certainly...
Read moreBizarros is a roller coaster. However, is located non other but in great adventure, six flags. It has similar settings as Disney but not close enough. What really turn me off about six flags is the frikin fact, I went yesterday and like always, the lines are horrible under that sun. Making lines everywhere for everything even making lines outside. What I don't understand is, how can they have only two John's available with so many people? Worst yet, the toilets are full to capacity, where you can't even sit down on those frikin toilets. Horrible!!! Then, the water almost $5. Is very expensive the food. I spent $40 for two orders of hamburger and fries and sodas. I would not recommend this place. Is nice, yes, but you are better off going...
