Silver Spoon Ice Cream & Sweets - Chesterfield — Attraction in Chesterfield

I really contemplated posting this review, because I do understand how difficult (awful) it is working with the general public. However, the attitude and overall demeanor of the one employee working the evening of July 29th was just entirely off-putting and uncalled for. From the moment we walked in the door, she immediately coldly barked from behind the counter, “menu is on the wall”. We wanted to buy some large cartons of ice cream and were looking in their small chest freezer for the flavors we wanted. We asked a few honest questions about the flavors in the freezer and got a callous 3 or 4 word answer every time. We were confused because the ice cream containers were stacked on top of each other and it was impossible to see every flavor in the freezer without searching through each of them by hand. We wouldn’t have had to ask any questions if it was a regular grocery store style freezer. Our questions certainly did not deserve such cold replies. It’s worth noting that there’s another Google review that mentions this person. As for the ice cream… It’s really good. Great, even! I would say it’s worth every penny.

It’s unfortunate that extremely poor/hostile service overshadowed what would have been an easy 5 star visit.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! I typically don’t write reviews but I felt our experience deserved one. First, you walk inside and the entire store reeks of sewage. We also ordered waffle cones with a scoop of ice cream each. They put a ball of ice cream on top of the cone, didn't push it down, and when asked about it the female employee was incredibly hostile and rude. We were very polite and kind when asked if we could have waffle cones full of ice cream- which is the normal standard, and were met with hostility. This place is overpriced for how skimpy they are with the amount of ice cream they give, unkind staff (which other reviews mention as well), and unclean with the sewage smell. Go...

I love ice cream, and when my husband found this ice cream shop, we went right in and chose the delicious-looking Coconut Almond Bliss. As expected, it was incredibly delicious and I'm hooked. Next time, I'd like to try the Kitty Kitty Bang Bang or the Key Lime Cheesecake. When you enter the shop, the ice cream menu and what's in it are displayed on the wall on the left, so it's a good idea to take a look before...
