West County has spoken, and Firefly Grill STL takes the crown for Best Happy Hour! 🏆 So, of course, we had to celebrate the win the right way—by heading over for Happy Hour on their beautiful patio! ☀️🍻(You can find the poll on the West County Social Facebook group) 🔥 Happy Hour runs Tuesday – Friday, 2-6 PM 🔥 For our first round of drinks, we kicked things off with a Firefly Margarita and a Blue Moon Draft, both part of their Happy Hour specials: 🍹 $2 off Margaritas 🍺 $1 off Drafts To start, we ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip, which came with a variety of fresh, crisp vegetables, tortilla chips, and crostini rounds that were absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly balanced—not too salty, just the right crunch, and packed with flavor. For our main dish, we went all in with the Meat Lover’s Pizza, loaded with hamburger, pepperoni, and salami and bacon. This pizza was cooked perfect and quite frankly, blew us away! During Happy Hour all pizzas are $3 off!! Then, for round two, we went with springtime perfection in a glass: 🍓 Strawberry Basil Margarita – Tequila, Triple Sec, Lime Basil Sour Mix, Strawberry Purée, garnished with a sugar rim and fresh strawberries. 🥂 Sparkling Strawberry Sangria – A refreshing blend of Sparkling Rosé, Strawberry Vodka, fresh Strawberry Slices, topped with a splash of Sprite. These drinks were light, fresh, and absolutely perfect for a warm patio day. Highly, highly recommend! 🌿🍹 To top it all off, our waitress Stevie was incredible, providing excellent service and making sure our experience was top-notch. If you haven’t checked out Firefly Grill STL for Happy Hour yet—what are you waiting for?! The specials are unbeatable, the atmosphere is fantastic, and now we know firsthand why it won Best...
Read moreWe ate here for the first time tonight. It was packed and we had to wait a considerable amount of time to get our drinks, food, & check. However, our waitress was very nice and clearly had a lot of other tables to serve so I can understand the circumstance. My food was not very good at all. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, which I thought would be a reliable option. (Pasta is difficult to mess up.) I was very wrong. The sauce had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. None! The sauce was the consistency of a thick pudding and it was served with a slice of cheese melted on top. It's as if the kitchen knows the sauce is flavorless and tries to mask it with just the tiniest bit of real cheese. It was one of the worst pasta dishes I've ever had in my entire life! I couldn't not finish it. My wife had a smash burger with fries and she said her's was good! I didn't try any but it did look good. I'm shocked that this place has such great reviews. Perhaps every other dish is great, just not the pasta. Also it's worth mentioning that because it was so crowded I could barely have a conversation due to the noise from other diners. That's not the restrauants fault, but something worth considering if you plan on going. Overall, it felt like a ripoff considering the food was worse than medicore and the prices were somewhat high. Given all the vast dining options within the immediate area, I see no good reason to...
Read moreI want Firefly Grill to succeed! I had the highest hopes for our first visit. They said last night was their busiest night so far and they were not prepared for it. We arrived at 5:45 had a very leisurely cocktail (which was delicious), by the time we ordered about 40 minutes later they were out of flat bread pizzas. Needed another few minutes to choose something else. Ok, I’ll have a wedge salad. “We just ran out of that too”. Decided on a steak sandwich. After all 4 of us finally ordered we did not get our food for over 2 hours! I felt so bad for the staff. They had no control over it. They were very kind and apologetic. We did have to request water refills, silverware, and that they take our empty beverages away. The steak sandwich was average. Was thinking it would be slices of steak and it was an actual steak (overcooked)on bread. I didn’t have the heart to complain. They tried to make a small gesture of taking 10% off of our bills and gave our table 2 $10 gift cards. That completely confused our poor waiter and he couldn’t figure out the checks (we had requested 4 from the beginning), I just felt so bad for him. Like I said, I want this place to succeed. I would like to give them a chance to redeem themselves. But it takes more than nice people to make a restaurant successful. It’s hard. But they need to get these kinks out of the system now or they are never...
