Old marina was downright scary. We never bothered to come to Chestertown in 20 years on the Bay.
The new marina is small but superb. Great docks very well maintained. Brand new shower and laundry facilities.
The entire town is pet-friendly and walkable. 1/2 block to a VERY nice waterfront park. 1/2 block to historic residential district. 2 blocks to downtown.

I loved the beautiful Georgian architecture and the feeling of being part of an important aspect of history ❤. Lunch at the original site for the White Swan Tavern added to a perfect day. Their crab soup was delicious. There is a bed and breakfast there if you plan to stay overnight. We traveled out to sea on the SULTANA. I love the Chesapeake. And then there was LUCY.
