A friend in the Audio industry introduced me to Mike and Listen Room. At the time, I was merely "dipping my toe" into HIFI...and quite frankly, was not really even in the market to upgrade. I first met Mike at the Florida Audio Expo in Tampa, FL. I listened to a system Mike had hauled down from Maryland.....Needless to say, I was instantly hooked. Mike went out of his way to educate me on speakers, amps, and everything in between. Mike personally spent hours with me - Responding to calls, emails - way above and beyond just items in his catalog that he was looking to sell. Mike was always targeted in his approach to help me understand what was on the market, given my price point, and what he recommended. There were even times where I asked about "the next level" and Mike said...."yeah, you don't need that". Keep in mind, my "system" changed pretty drastically from the start of conversations to what I currently have. In the end, I ended up with a new system and I am absolutely floored by the detailed nuances that this system has brought out of tracks that I have listened to hundreds of times. Music just sounds better. System Details: Pre-Amp / DAC: Aurender A15 Floor Speakers: Perlisten S7T Sub: Perlisten S7T Amps: Rogue M-180 "Dark" Monoblocks Cabling: Straight Wire (more on this below) Surge / Conditioner: RGPC 400 pro Rack: Quadraspire SV2t My final system is wonderful. Every detail: the quality, the aesthetic, and most importantly, the sound. The holographic nature of the system and the way that it "brings music to life, has exceeded every expectation. The value to the amount of technology in this system is stunning. To Mike and the Listen Room Team, Thank you for the amount of time that you spent educating me and recommending products - I am left with a system that I will be enjoying for many years to come. I am a Listen Room customer for life and will continue to recommend this brand and the awesome and thoughtful individuals that work here.

Wonderful hi-fi and record shop, a true gem! Great selection both for sale and in their listening library, with friendly and very knowledgeable owners — and if you’ve never heard Magnepan speakers before, you are in for an extra special treat. 🙂

Above and Beyond Customer Service even after purchase.

I ordered a Goldring E3 cartridge from the shop to level up my turntable given a move from apt to house - thus ability to have a listening room with speakers really push air and fill the room.

I received the cartridge and left it in box for a few months until HiFi was set up, wires ran below floors, etc.

Then when I installed the cartridge, the sound from new just was off (tons of crackles, needle pulled/skipped) - it was almost unplayable so I reverted to the old one and took the E3 cartridge to a local record shop (I'm out of state from tLR) to get some advice incase I did something wrong.

Upon inspection, my local shop shared that the stylus was a bit bent inward.

I called tLR to explain my situation noting that, while I felt I did nothing out of the ordinary and by the book, it was my 1st cartridge swap and user error could be possible - and Mike at the shop without hesitation offered to send me a replacement stylus to ensure I was a satisfied customer.

I look forward to spinning vinyl with my new cartridge and working with these guys whenever I'm in the area OR have a project that we can handle remotely.

Thanks again Mike...

I was given an incredible opportunity to experience and purchase a top end pair of Magnepan speakers. Mike of The Listening Room brought them to my house and let me listen as I wanted to hear them. There was no pressure to make a sale while I went through over a dozen songs. He joined me in listening to my music and sharing some of his, at volume levels few customers are willing push! For a purchase decision at this level, it was incredibly alleviating for The Listening Room to have that level of support, experience, and insight in the products. As a customer with a less traditional setup (source is a computer with lossless digital audio, big TV, and video game consoles) he didn't even skip a beat with his advice. The Listening Room is highly recommended when you want something more substantial than a home theater in a box. They can help you with vinyl record players and high bitrate lossless streaming boxes in the...
