Sugar Doodles Sweet Shop — Restaurant in Chestertown

My friend and I had thought it would be fun to get some dessert after our dinner, so thinking it was a good idea we headed over to Sugar Doodles. This is my second time coming here and I am not happy to say it is also my second time being an unpleased costumer. When I went the first time and I had an issue, I never thought to report it because I understand how stressful it can be working on a busy day. The first time I came I ordered a simple cup of mint chip, there was a group of kids before me but other than that it wasn’t too busy. The teenager who worked had forgot all about my order and I waited a good 10 minutes before I went and asked the teenager working there. Again I didn’t mind because I understand the stress of annoying teenage girls, only because I work in the food industry as well. Though this second time I went tonight I feel as if the worker did not understand what she was doing. This order was not ruined completely but I would just like to point out that if you hire someone you should make sure they know the material of the job. I ordered a simple sugar cone with a single scoop of cookies n cream. The lady who gave me my order gave me a cake cone but proceeded to say “cookies n cream with a sugar cone”. That wasn’t a sugar cone. Below I attached a photo of my ice cream to prove that I indeed did not get what I wanted because someone didn’t know how to tell the difference. If y’all ever visit Kent Island, Maryland, make sure to stop by Sugar Doodles for a great selection of ice cream (there are too many flavors to put in one review) and many other desserts such as cookies, sundaes and bubble waffles! Along with human food, Sugar Doodles also offers dog treats for man’s best friend! There are also many milkshake options including regular shakes such as Cookie Lover (which is the shake shown below), ultimate milkshakes, and even seasonal milkshakes which are only available during that specific holiday! I don’t want to force anyone to get anything they don’t want so my recommendation is to get whatever you desire(everything there is amazing)!

With all I said, I can confidently say with total honesty that Sugar Doodles is my favorite ice cream shop in the world! Thank you for existing Sugar...

It is such excellent news that the Sugar Doodles Sweet Shop locations now include Chestertown!

The location opened this weekend and the line was steady but moved fast. The menu of flavors and treats is robust with scoops, sundaes, shakes and more. I had a specialty shake and it is loaded with goodness.

The young people behind the counter were super friendly and fast with the orders. Everyone on the customer side of the store seemed to be having the best time ever- lots of families and small children were in town for the holiday weekend.

Parking is always pretty easy and free down town. We will continue to come here and support the local economy and this business. Thanks again for coming to our town! ...
