太差劲了,卖的肉全是打针的有化学药味的。恶心。菜都是不新鲜的。第一次买熟鸡腿鸡肉有血肉都变黑了。第二次买冻鸡翅幸幸苦苦炸完全是是恶心的药味。

Terrible quality of meat and vegetable. They sell meat with chemical and medicine smell. First time I purchased cooked chicken leg. It already had blood and bacteria. I returned for a refund less than the amount I purchased. Since the price was cheap, I didn’t argue for that. Second time, I purchased frozen chicken wing. I spent whole night to marinate and cook whole morning on second day. It smelled like medicine and chemicals. I tried to ignore that smell and tried to keep eating. But I can’t ignore that strong smell. Called the store, they refused admiting their meat problem. I suggested bring the chicken wing over to show to them. They just said they will return for it and no need to bring them back. Promising return through the phone but after checking my card info said I got to go to store for return amount. They are not honest seller. Selling the food way below safe quality. I won’t buy any dead meat from Hongkong market any more. Probably that’s the way of Chinese people doing business, but I felt terrible after eating a piece of chemical chicken wing and got complicated to get my refund back. My...

I could hardly wipe the smile and excitement off my face when I was first got here. I found out about this place only a year after landing here, which is a year too late.

I was amazed about the size and selections in this place. Now obviously this place isn't as big as the Super H Mart at Niles. But this is a true Chinese grocer, this is one of the biggest grocer in Chicago with Chinese selections. The grocer at Argyle is also big, but the selections are different, having more Vietnamese items. Park and Shop is also known as Hong Kong Market, and has more Chinese items from Hong Kong and also SE Asia.

The selections of vegetables, meat, hot pot ingredients, dumplings, instant noodles, etc, are plenty and various. The most selection I've seen in the Chinese grocers. Whatever you want, if you can't find it here, you probably won't find elsewhere! Look at my photos to see the selections and what excites me!

However, the prices are not nevertheless cheapest, some are but some can be found cheaper elsewhere, so compare nefore buying. Moreover the place is quite old and parkings are few, that's why I gave it 4...

1 Very dirty. Chaos. 2 Too crowded in the store and you can always find someone waiting for a parking lot. (It has much fewer parking lots as compared with its neighbor -- which is just a pizza store !) 3 Low quality food, especially meat, and some vegetables are not fresh too. The Chinese herb they sold are the worst I've ever seen. 4 Rude staff -- one cashier yelled at me because I complained about their old-fashioned slow-responding card swiper .... the thing is, two weeks later when I am back I found they got a new swiper.... so obviously I was right.

Why people keep going there (actually including myself) is because we have no choice ---- the alternative Asian markets you can find are "Star-Light" market and "大家发" market, but both have similar problems while much smaller than Hong Kong market.

Now when I go there I only buy some Chinese vegetables that I cannot find elsewhere, and packed non-GMO Tofu, plus some branded cereal that are imported from Mainland China and Taiwan. I cannot accept other products in...

Sometimes you need the true Chinese stuff and this is one of the few places you can get them. Much better than the chinatown market bc there is parking, plus its bigger. It's what you would expect from an Asian market, no frills and cheap prices. By Western standards it's dirty and no one is friendly but they have a decent selection of Chinese goods (some other Asian stuff too, but minimal). You can get a 50lb bag of rice for 20 bucks and any sauce imaginable which is a steal compared to trying to find those at Jewel/Marianos. They don't like you paying with credit if your purchase is small and if I were you I would park on the street if your busy....parking lot is small and I've had other cars open their doors straight into my car before. 4 stars bc it really is pretty dirty and they are missing a fresh seafood section that most Chinese markets have. But at the same time there is parking, low prices, and you'd be hard pressed not to find what you came here for.

The Chinese employee didn't help me out, they dont speak English, the place smells really bad and there were many animals like whole dead chickens and ducks packed. Fish and Lobsters were cramped up into one tank. Thats animal abuse. No animal should be treated like that. Everything was organized and there was lots of snacks. Mostly everything is cute. Overall its ok.
