Dollar General — Attraction in China Grove

Shame on you Dollar General. This is happening at your stores in the Charlotte, NC area. - if I had to guess you're doing this at all your stores. You're deceiving customers - you don't change the increasing prices on your shelves - you leave the older lower prices on the shelves. When the customer gets checked out the new higher prices are charged without letting the customer know of the higher price. Let the buyer beware is not important to you. That's cheating!!!!! A few weeks ago I asked one of your employees at your China Grove store to check prices for me after I was charged more on a number of items. The crazy thing is when she rang up a couple of items I asked her to confirm the price and she confirmed that it rang up correctly. Anyway she became defensive with me and began yelling and screaming at me. UNBELIEVABLE that a customer had to endure this behavior. I don't blame her 100% because this is some corrupt scheme you are running. I can spend my money elsewhere and just so you know I have been a long time customer and have seen this cheating going on for a long time. I'm just fed-up with Dollar General cheating customers. By the way that employee should not be working with customers!! PS. You did a half a_s job at the recent renovation. You left the old worn out floors - the old ancient manual entrance doors that only open one way - the mess of a parking lot ( huge pot holes - the driveway coming into parking lot off hwy 29 is a mess - generally just a hot mess). A self checkout that was installed at least a year ago and is never open or working correctly 🙄. This is such disrespect of your customers - plus all your store aisles are always jammed with trollies filled with boxes that seem to never get unpacked and the shelves are empty. I think this is one of the nicest older stores I've been in. Everyone in there are EXCELLENT! FANTASTIC! BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! Everyone has their day's too. Here's an example, If you don't see an employee smiling, you never know, they might have lost a family pet earlier that day but they still came to work because they have to. I have another example, If you don't see an employee smiling, what if this employee is super behind on there bill's and they just don't know what to do next, but they still came to work to try and figure it out. I used to love coming to this dollar general store. It was close, clean, and quick. Since management has changed, it's disorganized, stuff laying everywhere all the time, lines out the wazoo while employees stand outside smoking. Doors locked and hour before closing but every light in the store on. And almost had an employee crash into my car while she was leaving the parking lot, came inches away from taking off my mirror.
