TLDR: It was an awesome experience and even those of us that went in skeptical walked away ready to do another one.
We had accidentally booked on the wrong day, but the staff was super awesome and able to work our group into a room. We ended up in Gold Rush, though it wasn't what we had initially wanted, figuring out how to fit a group of 8 in was amazing on their part. The staff were all super kind and courteous to fix a mishap on our end and the area around has plenty of restaurants to easily kill a little time at. Fast forward.
When we got into the room, it was extremely well designed and the puzzles were great. We did need help a few times, but that's to be expected doing our first one of these ever and our game master was great at giving us subtle clues when we needed them without giving the entire puzzle away. There was lots of shouting, lots of working together to figure out all the locks. It was an amazing team building experience. All of us walked away feeling like we contributed in one way or another, which is saying something because everyone in our group are a lot of polar opposites. it was an awesome experience and even the ones of us that were unsure about going in were already ready to group back up and try another one.
Most importantly, WE ESCAPED! I highly reccomend giving this a try, either for team building or just getting closer to your friends. The adrenaline from each time we managed to solve something together was unlike anything I've ever felt. Lots of shouting, lots of hugging,...
Read moreWe came here to kill some time before checking into our hotel. We were in Cincinnati for the Taylor swift concert. Our first game was hosted by Nora and she did a fantastic job helping us out on gold rush since it was our very first escape experience ever! We escaped but had several hints along the way 🤣.They knew we were here for the concert and when we got out Meadow had a sweet surprise for my girls. She had painted them each a name plate with the colors of the Eras tour and gave them each a little lock and key to remember their experience. It was such a sweet gesture and I was genuinely amazed at how she managed to do that in 1 hour. Meadow definitely went the extra mile to make us feel special. We then decided to do playground and we had a wonderful chat with puck while we were waiting for them to set up the next game. Meadow was the game master for that one and we had the same great experience as the first game. We were exhausted by the end 🤣 All around we had the best time ever and I would definitely recommend doing an escape room with them. It was so well put together, and everyone who worked there was so friendly. Thank you all for the wonderful...
Read moreWe were in town visiting and wanted to try an escape room outside of our hometown. My husband and I love doing escape rooms and were ecstatic about trying this place out, especially after seeing all the rave reviews! We signed up for Gold Rush with our friend and got paired up with 2 other people. They were lovely and clearly had done escape rooms in the past. While I understand the reasoning behind making the escape rooms a shared experience, I've never done one like that and that was my least favorite part. It's kind of awkward to complete an escape room with strangers, but we made it work.
The actual escape room was AMAZING! Very immersive, well thought out and unique puzzles. The game master was great. We never actually asked for any hints, but he could tell when we needed just a little nudge in the right direction. I also loved that we got a preview for another escape room and if you book right after your room, you get a discount. If we had time, we definitely would have done that. Overall it was an awesome experience and I would come back. I just didn't like being paired...
