Warning to anyone who is considering a stay at this hotel. I went to cincinatti for a conference event, I chose to stay with my wife in the upgraded premium king room, with a whirpool jet bath. Upon arriving they told me that they had given the room away and had none left for me. They then offered to comp my entire stay. They said it would just have to be given to the general manager. I was downgraded to a smaller room, one I would not have paid for in the first place. The first room had several light bulbs out across the room. I called maintence for what I considered an easy fix, and they instead made me move rooms again, once again, into a smaller room this time without it even being close to the original room I had ordered. I then called again and they moved me this time into the final room. I then completed the stay and went to checkout. Where they gave me a bill for the full price of the original room I had booked. Keep in mind, I did not recieve this room, and also was promised that both nights would be comped. I spoke to the woman at the front desk, she went to check with the manager, he was too busy to speak with me, so I left a note. I then called at 4pm the same day, and he had clocked out early. Funnily, he was too busy to speak with me, but had an hour to cut out early. I was then told he would call me in the Morning. Shockingly, he never did, I then called them and to my surprise he was still busy. Once again, I left a note and did not get a call back. I then called in the morning today, once again, he was too busy. Finally, I called at 3pm, which is when he was to be free according to the front desk. Once again, too busy. The managers name is Amr Baker. It seems like Amr either was avoiding me. As well, it sounds like the staff had passed him this information for 6 days straight, with no response from him. I find this very unprofessional, instead of resolving this with the hotel, I now am going to have to file a charge dispute with my card provider, and a formal complaint with Hilton. What is possibly the most comedic of all, is that while I was going to offer to let them keep the vallet charge/food charge, the dispute will now return my full amount to me. **Regarding the room itself. The room was not as nice as advertised in terms of the finishing, truly it did not even look like the photos. It was clean, but the view was terrible in the first 2 rooms, the view was just into a brick building. When I was moved to the last room it was a cool view of the inside of the hotel. However, the room is unsleepable in, both nights I was up until 3am, as the other guest coming from the bar were extremely loud, screaming, and yelling the whole night. I would reccomend booking a room somewhere else. The graduate looked nice, the Kinley looked pretty decent, and so did the 21c. I reccomend this not because the room is necesarrily terrible, but if something goes wrong, the hotel will leave you...
Read moreI had a "premium king" room and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was. I was on the sixth floor with many large windows and a great view. The room had a desk, king bed, a large tv and an empty mini fridge (which I prefer because I love to keep a few beverages of my own cold, as well as some food for late-night snacking). The layout of the room was amazing, along with the bedroom there was a separate "den" area with more large windows, an adjustable tv on the wall as well as a coffee table, cocktail table, sofa, and a floor lamp. This would be ideal for couples or groups staying in the room. There was a hallway leading to the bathroom with a closet, a large vanity/mirror/sink at the end of the hall, and a separate wash room with a large soaking tub/shower combo, toilet, and another vanity and sink with illuminated mirror. I wasn't sure if room service was even available in this hotel because there was no menu to be found, but the food and drinks in the hotel restaurant were affordable and delicious. A few lights were either on their last leg or stuck in the lowest dimmable setting, however there were so many lights in the room this wasn't really an issue. The valet service was quick and convenient, never waiting more than 5-10 minutes for my car which you can request with a simple QR code on your ticket. You can even tip the valet digitally when requesting your vehicle which was convenient for when I did not have cash, albeit a $.90 service charge for digital tipping. I gave four stars instead of 5 because during my four-day stay, not one time was I greeted by the valet or front desk upon entering the lobby. Even pulling my luggage into and out of the hotel lobby without anyone to open the door for me (maybe this is what distinguishes a four star hotel from a 5 star?). I would have also preferred a liquid body wash rather than the bar soap provided but to each their own. I also would have loved some slippers or a bathrobe in the room. Overall, I would stay here again in the future. ALSO: the free wifi (for hilton honors members) was more than enough...
Read moreThis was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had at this price point. The photos of the rooms are not representative of reality. I booked a king room for two nights. The room is tiny, and does not include the furniture posted. The bathroom does not have doors that provide privacy, it is a sliding door that does not lock, and has slats so that there is no separation from the rest of the room. My room was on the 7th floor looking out onto an atrium and EVERYONE else’s windows. Because of the design, it sounds like being in an empty swimming pool. I can hear the front desk person talking while checking in every guest, and people yell and laugh late at night. Our door to this “balcony” vibrates from the air flow of staying in a metal shaft. We were provided two bath towels, and two hand towels. We requested housecleaning at 930 am, returned at 5 pm and the housecleaning was not done. We were told they would have someone come up, and thirty minutes later I had to go to the desk and ask for more towels so we could take a shower, in our $388/night room. I told them about the noise and was told they are trying to think of ways to make the windows facing the atrium more sound proof which is great, but maybe lower your rates until you’re not offering guests the privacy and sound levels of a frat house. The whole experience has been a let down. The location is great, but do yourself a favor and find a hotel that accurately depicts their rooms and provides a quiet place to sleep.
Ps. 1 hour after writing this review I attempted to get my car from valet, but was told that my ticket was closed. I was told that they couldn’t link my room to my car either because my room phone is linked to another room, or the valet at check in never recorded my room number, and told me that the name didn’t matter if it was the registered room name or the other occupant. Not a single thing has gone right...
