Unethical business practices. Took my desktop computer in for repair. They said it would probably take an hour, maybe two to fix it. I Signed a contract to diagnose the problem and make repairs authorizing up to 2 labor hours for the project. A one hour maximum labor fee-$89 would still be charged for the diagonsis even if no repairs were made. (I paid that up front). When called with the diagnosis, they said it would take at least 3 hours to fix. Since the computer was 9 yrs. old I said I should probably invest in a new computer and asked if they could build one for me. The phone was turned over to Paul, I think the owner, and said he would give me a deal with an out-the-door price of $830. The next morning I called Paul and said I am not going to go for a new computer and will pick up the old one later in the day, which I did. That afternoon he called me back and said his tech spent 4 1/2 hrs. on the diagnosis but would cut me a deal and only charge me another hour of labor.
