To much security for my taste, have been around many many theatre's in NY and some in PA and have never seen police outside the venue let alone security indoors and that includes places in NYC, I believe it does much more harm then good. People I'm sure know how to cross themselves across the street before and after the show is out. For comedy and music venues it's more of a deterrent and makes the venue seem shady to folk's from out of town. This truly is the only place this is seen. The forum has a great music potential but obviously folks who love music are not the ones running the forum, if it were there would be many great changes but that's a whole other story. The sound is very good for music venues however it was just ok for the Louis CK show, Sat in the front row of balcony, sound clarity was ok not great and not loud enough to understand it all. The forum itself is gorgeous, just a absolute Gem for BC, not anywhere near used for it's full potential, needs new management to bring in music and comedy, it could be hopping almost every weekend instead it's maybe once a year even once every 2-3 years,...
Read moreWent to see 'The Sound of Music' last night and it was fantastic! The cast was incredible and all sang beautifully. For handicapped, tall, or heavy people...the theater seats are a bit tight and some heavy people around us were not able to fit comfortably in their seats having to sit at an angle to fit. My boyfriend is 6'3" and had to sit with his knees open because of how close the rows are. There is not really any handicapped accommodation other than the space behind the last row in the balconies and the restrooms while there is more than one they don't have many stalls. Arriving there was a line of about 15 people at the lobby restroom that has only 3 stalls and at intermission there was a line at the bathroom on the balcony level of about 30 people and that one had 4 stalls. No complaints from me at all, just observations. It is a beautiful older theater and I will most definitely be...
Read moreFirst of all, the fact that paper tickets seem to be no longer a thing for a lot of places is ridiculous, especially when what happened to a member of my group tonight when his ticket that was in his Apple wallet was scanned and he was told it had already been scanned and used, when no, it hadn’t been bc he was the only one with that ticket loaded in his Apple wallet. A manager was called to help and tried to scan it and basically was rude and said it’s not gonna work and walked away, offering no help whatsoever. This was a technology fail and manager fail. It was not our fault and we had no idea what to do. Beware, that your ticket at any time could say it was used and you will get no help...
