EDIT- less than an hour after speaking with the assistant manager, they CHARGED OUR CARD almost $700 for the toilet!!!!! Then I called to speak with the General Manager Dave or the Assistant Manager again and was routed to voicemail and told they were in a meeting. I waited an hour and called again for them to tell me they were aware I wanted to speak with them but would not be talking to me today and I was free to leave another message or call management again in the morning. Hilton customer service was lovely but unfortunately cannot reverse the word of a locations manager. Credit card is issuing a charge back for us as unfortunately that was our only recourse. Absolutely the worst interaction I’ve ever had with a business and they’ve lost loyal Hilton customers and everyone we can tell, as we travel with large groups for sports and we travel as a family for pleasure.
My family of 4 stayed here this past weekend for a softball tournament. We are mom, dad, 19 and 17 year old daughters. The room was lovely and inside of hotel was nice. The area surrounding the hotel is TERRIBLE and dangerous. We had friends whose car was broken into and items were stolen. You see people wandering on drugs, and it is quite unsafe.
The main reason I’m writing this review is that today… 2 1/2 days after our stay, the assistant manager Joanna just called to say that the toilet is the room is broken beyond repair (like pieces are broken off apparently!) and said it’s obvious we caused this. She essentially encouraged me to be honest and admit to it. I told her 1000 percent we have nothing to do with that and obviously it was someone who came in after us cleaning etc. That I would have reported it if something like that happened and no one was in the room except our family just getting through the softball weekend. Joanna persisted with accusing us and encouraging me to admit to wrongdoing. It’s days later and you call today with this accusation? Obviously that’s absurd and it was someone who’s been in the room since our stay!! I advised her I do not want to hear anything else about this or get any other phone calls or I will consider it harassment and that I do not want to see a charge or it will be disputed. She STILL proceeded to tell me they will be investigating key swipes and surveillance video and will likely call again!
I see another review here where someone was charged a smoking fee even though they did not smoke in the room. Management cited ashes in the garbage but would not send a photo.
This is absolutely inappropriate to treat guests this way. I will certainly never stay at this location again and will advise everyone we associate with to do the same. Many softball players and families stay for tournaments.
I will update here if I hear anything further about this from management, which I certainly...

I checked into the Binghamton NY Hilton Hotel and had high hopes for having a great stay as usual at your locations. I was deeply disappointed and disturbed by what happened at this hotel. Small issue first, my room was missing the alarm clock with the USB charger. Major issue is that one of your maintenance men was at the front desk while I was checking into the hotel and he heard the desk clerk give me my room number. I went up to my room and put the bolts on the door and proceeded to brush my teeth and take a shower. The same maintenance man along with another maintenance man opened my room door unannounced. They said they heard a vibration on the wall and did not know the room was occupied. One of them did lend me his phone charger. While hey were both very polite, I felt very uncomfortable that men are able to just walk into my room unannounced. I notified the front desk and was told that they were unaware that they were in my room. They didn’t have another room for me to move to and I was simply offered food credits for the inconvenience. Tabitha is the manager who I spoke with and she was very rude and inconsiderate of the issues. She also provided me with the wrong number to call corporate to complain about how she treated me. The maintenance man did a sink repair and then the lady who brought the clock wanted to fix an outlet. I wasn’t paying for a room under construction or a room with two men included in the package. I felt disregarded as far as my complaint and disrespected by the offer of food and drink credit. The black maintenance man was the one who was at the front desk and heard me get my assigned room. I assure you my complaint is not based on race as I am a black woman. I’m hoping that Hilton will treat me better than a free meal.
This was a very insulting experience. I’m so disappointed in the way this is being handled. I don’t feel like I’m valued as a customer. Hilton only offered me $39 off my room for this incident. I’m insulted and feel like Hilton doesn’t care at all about me as a guest. This experience changed my perception on Hilton and their...
Read moreOverall, a very good experience. The chocolate chip cookie when checking in is a very nice touch and very tasty. I wasn’t sure if there would be room service due to covid, I didn’t see a menu or any written information in my room, so I called the front desk, but no one answered (that’s the second time I’ve called and no one’s answered, not good for the front desk of a hotel. Just sayin’), but then realized I could call room service directly. They answered promptly and said I needed to come to reception or bar to get a menu, which I did, and ordered my dinner - and was then asked if I’d like to have them call me when it was ready to be picked up? Yes, I would! I understand why traditional room service is not an option during these crazy times, but it also seems to me that a menu in my room and the ability to call my order in would at least save me one trip. Fortunately, I’d been driving for 4 1/2 hours, so I really didn’t mind the excuse to go for two walks! The dinner (grilled chicken with couscous) was tasty. I brought it up to my room to eat. The room decor is nice and I felt very comfortable. For some reason, the hallway smells strongly of pot, but the smell isn’t in my room, so far. The shower is nice, with one of those bars for the shower curtain that holds the curtain out away from you and gives you a lot of room - I’m sure there’s a word for that… I like the feeling of roominess it gives you. I was a little confused at check in when they said they needed another credit card, that the one they had didn’t go through. I gave them (again?) my credit card… I keep thinking about it and I think I want to ask them again to clarify for me: I only use one credit card, so why would they have an incorrect one on file for me? I’ll ask in the morning when I check out. I’m new to Hilton Honors, I was supposed to be able to check in from the app on my phone, that didn’t work because they needed me to come in and give them another credit card… Maybe it shows that I don’t do a lot...
