I'm going to be honest, this place is a collector's dream but there are definitely some things that I need to vent off here. Parking is kind of a nightmare to be quite honest. It's extremely packed and people are just driving around hoping for parking sometimes.
If you do manage to find parking, you may have to also deal with rude vendors as if it wasn't stressful enough. Being told to "know what I'm looking for so you don't waste each others' time" is not what I expected after waiting patiently for a vendor to handle his other customers because I'm new to collecting MTG cards and didn't want to slow him down with my questions. I don't know why this particular vendor had such an attitude, but it was also not enjoyable with him asking me what I was looking for, I answer, then he tells me to "hold on, let me help this guy first" two times to my face like I'm trash and should move on. I guess I should just magically know what this guy has in his shop and magically also know the price of it because he can't spare more than 5 seconds of his life to deal with customers that are new to collecting.
Not only that, some vendors are obviously marking items far higher than what you could just order online. I understand vendors need to run a profit, but even sellers online who are doing the same thing don't hike up their prices this much. Pop Mart items are double, triple or even five times over their retail prices for example, among other things.
Other than that, there are the few very nice vendors who are great conversationalists, patient with you if you're trying to figure out what they have and if it's what you're looking for, and have reasonable prices for what they have on sale. These vendors kept my mood up aside from the others and the particular one I...
Read moreI absolutely love this place! This new location is even better than their previous spot I had been shopping at for many years. This new locations aisles appear to be wider and it also has air conditioning which the other did not . You can find such unique collectibles/goodies for any collector literally of any age. From sports memorabilia, sci-fi, New & vintage items. My husband is a huge comic book & statue collector and although our first time visiting many years ago was supposed to be for him to seek out collectibles, I actually ended up finding many things of interest for myself. I've been collecting various things such as Cabbage Patches, Barbie and Hello Kitty since my own youth, and have managed to find several items from here to add to my collections. My kids which range from 6 y.o. to 19 y.o. love this place as well. Many of the vendors know us well from the relationships we've developed over the many years of shopping here. For convenience, they even have a snack bar that you can purchase either hot prepared or packaged goods to snack on for when you get hungry. The bathrooms are kept pretty clean which is also nice. Usually when we come, we spend an average of 1.5 - 2 hrs. as there are so many vendors and items to browse. You're almost guaranteed to find something for you or that special someone in your life! Parking can be extremely difficult to find, but be patient it's worth it. Check it out, it's definitely...
Read moreI am changing my review for Frank & Sons. My friend's son had his car towed from the parking lot because they overbooked the day when many people were there for an anime event. The towing fee was $485. The parking security officer was unhelpful and did not answer any questions. He was responsible for having the vehicle towed and placed stickers on both the driver's and passenger's windshields, indicating that the car was illegally parked. After the towing, we had to remove those difficult stickers from the vehicle.
The security staff provided no assistance in locating the towed car, so I had to go inside and speak with another security officer. It was clear that people there did not know who was in charge or why certain decisions were made, and there was no leniency in this situation.
Because of this experience, I will no longer be returning to Frank & Sons. Although my friend’s son parked illegally and accepted the consequences, this incident has cost us $485 for just 20 minutes. We will not return, and you have lost my business, my family's business, and my friends' business as well., and you have lost my business, my family's business, and my friends'...
