I walked the trails with my brother and my daughter in a stroller. We tried several times to find a spot to sit at a bench. But most of them were over grown with weeds around them. Checked out the revolving bird display. It was nice to know what birds were in the area. The grass there was also over grown. If someone wanted to see this and were in a wheelchair they couldn't. The exercise areas were also over grown with weeds. Some benches close to the lake. The embankment of weeds blocked the views to enjoy. There were several tree limbs that were on the ground or over grown on the trails that you had to get off the trail. Would like to see more areas that accessible for handicap individuals. It's setting on the inlet is picturesque and coupled with the mature trees and natural setting provides a nice venue to relax and pursue recreation. Located in what I refer to as "Park Alley" Cass Park offers plenty of convenient parking. It's outdoor pool is well maintained and popular during the summer months. It's covered but seasonal ice rink features a beautiful architectural roof that allow for an open feeling. The changing facilities are clean, well maintained and modest. However, making a reservation on the website is nearly impossible because you have to create an account and put in lots of personal information, just to have your account not work and the five appointments they offer filled.
