G & M Jewelers — Attraction in City of Poughkeepsie

I had a bracelet that, although relatively inexpensive, it meant a lot to me. I broke the clasp. I went to Zimmer Brothers to see if they would fix it. The lady said, they do repairs but send it out and it could take several weeks. She then said, "let me take it to the back to see how expensive it will be to fix this." She came out a few minutes later and told me they don't fix that type clasp (it was a basic toggle clasp). When I asked why not, she said, "we don't handle these types of metals." It was total BS - I could see right thru it! She then told me to go to Hobby Lobby and maybe I could buy this or that to replace it. I interrupted her and said stop. I will find a jeweler who will fix it. I drove down the street to G&M Jewelers and the owner was WONDERFUL! She was down to earth; did not make me feel foolish given my piece was not worth much money; and super helpful! She fixed it in 10 minutes, on the spot and charged me $8! If I ever need any jewelry services or pieces in the future - that is where I will be going! Not the stuffy...

Such an great experience, Elizabeth was amazing! My fiancé went to her for my engagement ring and she made it completely custom. You can feel how great quality it is and the detail is incredible. I brought my engagement ring to another jewelry store one day to get it cleaned while we were out of town, and while he was holding it and inspecting it, he said “wow this has nice weight to it, this is a nicely made ring, beautiful.”
