This post office should be audited right away. We have had several issues getting packages delivered. Things have been dropped at the wrong address, lost and most recently they were holding a package to be redelivered. After my wife tried to call the Poughkeepsie post office over a 100 times no exaggeration we called the phone number for the postal services headquarters. They issued a service request that went unanswered. The second time she spoke to someone at the headquarters they said we could go get the package. The package was at the post office for 2 weeks before I went down and got it (after finally being told we could). I walked in and spoke with Kathy and at this point I did not say there was any issues I just asked for a package that was supposed to be redelivered to my home. With a big attitude she says we'll you don't have a tracking number I said I do let me look it up for you. She stormed off and went to the back. She then returned with with my package and said the supervisor said the phone number given was never answered. I then asked to speak to the supervisor she said she is busy. To Kathy if you hate your job so much take your attitude and go work where you do not provide customer service. To the supervisor that cannot take the time to speak to anyone I hope you realize that the people at that counter are the ones that buy stamps and ship things to help pay your salary. We will be having this looked into further. To whomever reads these reviews at the post office you wonder why you have a 2.8 rating it because you do not care about your customers. Thanks for nothing and making my wife waster her own time and for me to have to spend my time and money to go get a package that the supervisor clearly did not try to get to use. You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSame issue someone stole my mail and has been stealing mail in the neighborhood, my package was scanned out of GPS range and was marked delivered in lockbox my building is none. Until they catch the thief 1 star , thankfully amazon has honored my packages stolen with refunds or a new item sent out but the packages stole by usps thief I've yet to be refunded, I'm sure it must be someone with usps cuz the packages are never big or heavy and around the mail carrier time, I don't know for sure it could be someone maybe following as well but definitely make sure your delivery is insured or held at the post office. It's not necessarily their fault. And I've never really had any customer service issues with them. They've all been very nice and friendly with me. However, you know, there's still a thief on the loose and the process to trying to get A. Refund isa pain , And it's like you. You're out of date by the time. It's actually delivered, so it's like. Why is it 15 days from when it's shipped? And not when it arrives and it's did not arrive like so. Basically, your claim is not going to be accepted. And I'm still waiting for mine basically to be refused. So unfortunately, you're gonna be out of money. Just have your package held if you're getting it from a site that ensures it. That's better because the Post Office insurance isn't really good for anything if you can't really file a claim because it's only gonna count for the date was sent and not the date. It was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, why does this post office even have it's own phone number if no one ever answers? I work in the business district, I cannot tell you how many times they have just not delivered our mail, and then brought us double the mail the next day. The reason I'm writing this review is because it's currently 4 pm and my business still has not received it's mail. It took me (and I'm not exaggerating here) 12 phone calls to get anyone to answer the phone. I inquired as to why we haven't received our mail, and apparently our carrier called out sick, so the post office thought it was a great idea to give the business district route to another carrier to do AFTER they delivered their residential route. Tell me the logical in doing residential before business when businesses close on average at 5pm. That just seems like poor management. I don't know who the post master is at that office but boy do they have things messed up. Lines are always SO long no matter what time of day you go there. It's always a substitute carrier because for "some reason" they cannot keep full time employees. Best bet if you have a choice of what post office to use is the...
