If you have a child who is in a mental health crisis, I suggest that you take them to another county for care. Golisano makes it seem like they have top notch facilities and care at their hospital, but let me tell you…the mental health facilities for these poor kids is absolutely despicable. They make children stay in their rooms to eat food, and discourage them from talking to anyone. The rooms are disgusting and not cleaned after the last child that was in there. They put children together who have different issues. For example child who is suffering from major depression is kept up all night by a child who has major anger control issues and screams all night. There should be separate units for different problems if you truly care about child’s healing and wellbeing. Speaking of that, my child was woken up in the middle of the night to be moved out of his room and completely out of his side of the tiny sad excuse for a psych unit because of two other kids were fighting and had to be separated. 3 in the morning my child had to sit in a glass room waiting to be put somewhere else. My child has major anxiety. He was starting to do well in group therapy because he started building connections with these kids he was with; then he gets yanked out in the middle of the night and put with kids he doesn’t know all because of other kids actions? He was improving and just tanked again! Can I also mention the times where they were supposed to go to gym on the weekend but were kept in this tiny little unit because they had no one to take them? Because they were understaffed? And discharged my son before he was even ready because you wouldn’t move him back to where he was. Shame on you, Golisano! You act like you guys are state of the art…well BS. I trusted you with my child, and you completely showed me how much you guys do not care about certain departments…which means you only favor certain children. You failed my child, and I am sure you’re failing other children as well. I am disgusted by what my child was not only living in for a few days, but how they were treated, and went through. Your facilities are the reason my child has once again tanked. You should be so ashamed! When is the last time you guys have changed those blankets or pillows? Or even upgraded a bed. Everything is old and run...

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)
As a parent of a special needs child, finding a medical facility that not only meets my son’s needs but also provides a compassionate and supportive environment can be challenging. However, I can confidently say that Golisano Children’s Hospital stands out as the best choice for pediatric care in our area.
We recently visited their Pediatric Emergency Room, and I was once again reminded of why this hospital is our go-to place, despite living closer to another facility. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. They quickly addressed my son’s needs with professionalism and warmth, making what could have been a stressful situation much more manageable.
During our stay, we were admitted to Tower Eight North, where we had the pleasure of being cared for by two exceptional nurses, Samantha and Will. Their genuine kindness and attentiveness made all the difference for my son, Tyler, who is known for his playful spirit. Samantha and Will not only provided outstanding medical care but also took the time to engage with Tyler, making him feel comfortable and valued. Their ability to connect with him and nurture his unique personality is a testament to their dedication and love for their work.
It is evident that the staff at Golisano Children’s Hospital are not just employees; they are passionate individuals who truly care about their patients. Samantha and Will exemplify the hospital’s commitment to providing excellent care, and I believe they are invaluable assets to the team. Their compassion and professionalism shine through in every interaction, and I am incredibly grateful for the positive experiences we've had at this facility.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Golisano Children’s Hospital for any pediatric needs. The combination of expert medical care and heartfelt compassion creates an environment where both children and their families can feel safe and supported. Thank you, Samantha and Will, for your unwavering kindness and for making Tyler's experience a wonderful one. We are fortunate to have such a remarkable hospital in...
Read moreMy 16 years old brother was killed by the doctors. Why do I say this? Me and my family have been here in this country for 5 years with zero English. We still don’t speak fluent English because we are ASIAN. My brother was not sick or anything. He was born with heart problems and was always on medication since he was born and until death. He is a very smart boy who always receives a lot of awards from the school and teachers. He was a happy healthy boy who grew up big and strong just like the other kids. We requested to do the heart surgery through the translator on the first year we got here because we were worried that his heart will get worse. But they refused it. It was Thursday, July 21, I drove him there in the early morning to get his heart fix. He greeted the doctors and nurses who will be in the operation room with him. He talk to them with a big mile and trust. Before they took him to the operating room I ask him are you scared? And he answered NO! I am a brave boy and I can do it. Then he ask me to take him to Asian buffet after he recovers. That was the last time he talked to me. I know it is normal for people to die but why in this way for him? I just felt it is unfair for my brother. I wish I have the power that can find him justice. We miss him so much but he doesn’t know anymore. We hurt so ad but no body understand or care. They all say “SORRY”. Only if sorry can fix everything, I will accept it. From that day on I hate to hear “SORRY” the most. We talked to the doctor about my brother. They explained everything to us. Most of the information was new and shocking. Well, maybe because of miscommunication or misunderstanding that the translation work for them. The surgery doctor seems so calm and peaceful when he talked to me and he never say sorry to my family members either. If you are Asian, please find a truth translator and doctor. Because this is not our country, we don’t have as much freedom as they do. Now our family is broken just because we don’t speak English and we trusted the doctor and the translator. We still miss him every single second and want to see him so bad. Only when you been through this, you can understand...
