How this place changed. First since the projects behind the park were torn down the dirybdof Yonkers started fixing this park up and started pouring money in. First it received a new manicured landscape and numerous amounts of giant mature trees giving it a cozy open concept look classy yet simple. The best thing about it is the neighborhood and how they use the park. It use to be dirty with lots of traffic all around but me and a couple of neighbors got some garbage bags and on a daily basis started cleaning the park. After a few weeks people started noticing and the habit spread as the park hot cleaner and cleaner. I still pass by and see some folks grab a bag and clean and that's great, a continuation to beutify Yonkers. In the summer, groups and families could rent the park for BBQs and music and fun. The city has thrown numerous small music concert and neighborhood buildings have there annual building block BBQ. Great family park with s whole section just for kids with swings, playpen and two basketball courts. Others hAve benches lining the trial with giant boulders designing the landscape.
