Regarding the furnace pic; don't worry, folks. The furnace pic was embellished in a photo editing program. The fire is not real.
This is an average-sized, but beautiful county park for families or individuals; for walking, running, cycling, sporting events, observing nature or just plain ol' relaxing.
There are two large fields; one at the main entrance and the other at the southern end. There's also a water park at the main entrance. At northern end, there's a very nicely maintained, enclosed soccer/lacrosse field; that is utilized by schools, on a regular basis. A mini golf area is positioned next to water park; and a playground for the children.

At the end of the first body of water, there's a quaint waterfall, flowing under a foot bridge. It's really gorgeous, with a rustic feel about it.
The waters are teeming with life. If you are fortunate, you might even witness a hawk swooping down on an unwary carp; and swiftly flying it to the upper limbs of a tree to feast. Perhaps you are fascinated by the hunting technique of the egrets or the occasional cormorant among the Canada geese and mallards. Or, you may relish the idea of watching the white swans, gracefully traversing the waters.
Ample parking space is provided for all. There's also a county police station at the water park, for the patrons.
The display of arboreal colors during the autumnal season is spectacular!
During the snowfall days of winter, the slope off the main field is used for sledding and tubing.

Update; 8/16/23
Attended Tibbots Pool the other day. Was looking forward to it, because its been 2 years since I last visited. Parking for me was $10 dollars, but i think visitors might be able to park along the outside of the park and just walk if you wanted to save some money. The parking lot when i went was a little packed but still plenty spaces available.
Decided to go for a short mini hike, while i blasted my tunes along the trail to develop some heat for the pool. Noticed the park staff was patrolling the park and they are very polite and attentive and look out for your best intrest in the park.
I shortly journeyed to the entrance of the pool where park security checks your bag & allows you in to pay for admission. The price can vary but for me it was $15 per person. I was with my friend so it was $30 bucks total to enter the pool. Was asked if i would like a lock which i declined and soon regretted. My friend and I wanted to enjoy the pool together and we felt worried that leaving our valuables items and belongings around while in the the pool would be a problem.
Entered the locker rooms and it was clear and clean. Staff was attentive and quick to help me with a dilemma i had with my lock key.
Once we settled the particulars we were off to the pool which was definitely a five star experience. The lazy pool is really refreshing and recharging just coasting under the sun. Was a little disappointed some of the pools accessories for dumping water on you when you pass was not working but was happy nonetheless.
They do have food and drinks for purchase but i didn't get any refreshments. We finished up and i returned my locker key and picked up my ID and walked to the parking lot to take off.
Had a excellent day. And Tibbots was amazing. Every year i tell myself i will attend more often but never do. After todays experience. I will definitely come back before the year is out. May even purchase a park pass in the future. Think i will save money in the long run. Five...
Read moreTibbetts Brook Park is an absolute gem! I love coming here for a nice walk and soaking in the beautiful scenery. One of the highlights for me is encountering the random ducks and turtles that add to the park's charm.
This park has so much to offer for everyone. The aquatic complex is fantastic, featuring a spray playground for kids, in-pool basketball and volleyball for some fun competition, and even lap lanes for those looking to get in a daily swim workout. The lazy river is a particular favorite of mine and truly makes this place special.
For those who appreciate history and tradition, the Tudor-revival style bathhouse adds a majestic touch to the center, while the restored pavilions maintain a vintage look that's both charming and nostalgic.
It's fascinating to learn about the park's history as one of the first developed by Westchester County. Despite its origins, Tibbetts Brook Park has transformed into a sanctuary from urban living, offering woodlands, lakes, playing fields, playgrounds, and a swimming complex. It truly feels like an oasis surrounded by the city.
I also appreciate the fitness features, including the outdoor fitness area and equipment, as well as the new pickleball courts, which provide additional recreational opportunities for visitors.
Overall, Tibbetts Brook Park deserves every bit of its five-star rating. It's a place where nature, recreation, and history come together to create a truly...
