Chocolate Works did a collaboration with another party venue for a little girl's party. My kindergartener was feeling left out as everyone at his table had beverages served except for him. I had walked up to a table to grab a cup of lemonade. Winnie, one of the employees, snapped at me because she insisted that she serve the kids herself only and for me to just go away. The party wasn't even at Chocolate Works. You cannot deprive a little boy the right to drink if they're thirsty just for the sake of a task she wanted to complete. My boy gets dehydrated very easily and the last thing I need is for a control freak to ruin my son's party experience. I was about to give a 1-star review had it not been for the owner, Jay, and two younger gentlemen in their 20s to save the day. My son was having a very tough time regulating his emotions especially when he just got roughed up by rowdy boys. Jay, a younger lady, and two younger men swooped into action to make my little dude happy. I cannot thank them enough for their patience, compassion, and excellence with children. As a professional baker with retail experience for over two and half decades, people like Winnie should not be working in customer service if she's got severe control issues. Retail and kids' parties are not a strong suit as Winnie's personality lacks the soft skills critical to creating a happy environment for kids. Her face went from miserable to fake happy. Owning a business is one thing, but if you're doing it just for the sake of money, and you lack people skills, business will tank. Winnie: there is no place for misery in this happy confectionery world. The only time you were even remotely kind to me was when Jay requested that you add sprinkles for my boy's ice cream. Consistency is key to owning a business. You can't be rude to parents but switch to being kind to children when you...
Read moreI held my daughters sixth birthday here yesterday and the kids had loads of fun. I’m definitely happy i booked here! They accommodated the 16 children very well. The staff were very friendly and polite. I would just recommend them to play music as the guest arrive and through out the party. I had to request music and had to keep asking for it to be louder until I finally did it myself. I also would have rathered the pizza not had been there as I arrived because i got complaints that the pizza was cold causing kids to not really eat it. Other than that it was a great party and i’d...
Read moreHere is a great Saturday:my friend Gini and I get together and have a mani and pedi right here in town. Then we head over to Central Avenue and gawk the Jewelry at D'Errico Jewelry near the Candlelight Inn. When we have our 14K fix, we cross over to Chocolate Works. We pick out chocolate and try to hold back.
Everything is so good. It's a franchise but at least here in Hartsdale, they seem to love what they are doing.
We have lunch somewhere in Scarsdale or Eastchester and then have tea and chocolate back at my place for...
