Melissa’s Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Yonkers

Terrible experience, Driven by a craving for a turkey bacon, egg, and cheese on a wrap I entered this establishment with hopes of being delighted by a great dining experience but on the contrary it turned out to be the exact opposite of that…you would think that considering the hazardous environment we are living in today restaurant employees would take precautionary steps like wearing gloves and face masks especially when handling and prepping food ingredients but no. Sadly the employee in this establishment handled slices of cheese and turkey bacon with her bare hands which was just UNSANITARY. To make matters worse she attempted to improvise by rolling up the turkey bacon and cheese on a “small Tortilla” for lack of a proper whole wheat wrap… and when I inquired on the matter she seemed a bit uptight and responded, “Well this is what I have ! What are you looking for ? A big A&@ burrito?!” Which I must say from a customer’s perspective was very insulting and uncalled for. At that point I expressed that, “I was no longer interested in the food” and simply walked out with no intention of ever walking back into this horrible establishment. Beware of this place ! Horrible experience. I came here for a BLT. The man who was making the food had dirty hands. He was using a dirty rag to wipe the crumbs from the counter onto his hands and then into the garbage. Then he proceeded to start to make up my sandwich with no gloves and without washing his hands which is completely unsanitary. When he reached the point where he was cutting my tomatoes with his bare dirty hands I said to the woman there your employees don’t use gloves here.
